Everybody wants to be a rock star

It seems to me that everyone, deep down, at least at one point in their life, wants to be a rock star. What's up with that? Nowadays you can't go anywhere without hearing about somebody and their band. Actors turned singers. Models turned actors turned singers. I was watching 'Where are they now' yesterday (the former child stars one), and half of the people were into the musical career (mostly rock). Why is this such a fad? Why does everybody want to be a rock star? :confused:

Around where I live its more common for people to want to be rappers instead. It gets really annoying listening to them "freestyle" all day long.

You're not the only one who's had to deal with annoying rapping freestyles Nimbleness. But that's not the point here is it? I believe people's desire to be rock star stems from their desire to be famous and wealthy as well as their musical abilities (even if they don't have any) combining to form that one desire. Anyway, I know I haven't but I know people who have. It's nearly as annoying as those rapping freestyles I mentioned earlier.

Besides all that, I know people wouldn't mind beeing rich and popular, they need to recognize it's hard work. but I can still take my guitar out into a side walk, and still earn about $10 http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/wink.gif So I guess there's some money involved, I don't mind the extra cash, it's cool. Then think about when your famous, and earning millions everyday.

agreed. and that line reminds me of Good Charlette(sp?)`s hypocrical song, *shudders*. me and my freinds' bands only care about the strumming, drums and good lyrics in a garage and we have the greatest time.
