For the love of pete can we get some of the long loved Cartoon Cartoon series out on DVD? It's hard to believe that such long time fan favorite staples such as Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, & Ed, Edd and Eddie, Ect. can't even get a sniff at seeing generic greatest hits DVD releases when Nicktoons has a lot of their cartoon lineup coming out on DVD and making nice coin on it. Heck, even the Powerpuff Girls haven't seen a DVD release other than the movie and the upcoming direct ot home video DVD Christmas Movie on DVD in the last two years. You would think that their lasting popularity and other merchandise would have gotten them at least a first season DVD set (like Nickledoeon's SpongeBob SquarePants) by now.

My question is this...

Is there anything we can do to get Cartoon Network and WB to see the demand these properties have among the masses so they might move to put these cartoons on DVD?

I am ZIM!!!

The reason I've always seen passed around was that Cartoon Cartoons don't have much, if any, merchandise on toy store shelves or elsewhere to push.

Edit:
Remember, this is from a company (Warner) that can't seem, for whatever reason, to get behind something as universally popular as Batman and Superman...

Well I know that the Power puff Girls, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Dexters Lab have toys and I also hope those toys will soon later bring the demand of DVD's for each Series.

I'm sure Cartoon Network would like nothing more than to see their flagship properties out on DVD. Unfortunately, this is the WB we're talking about: you couldn't get them to recognize that there's a market for hammers by hitting them over the head with one. (Not that that's a bad idea regardless.)

Aren't there like 5 'Powerpuff Girls' DVDs already?

There are a couple, but I believe that they are 'best of' sets, which suck. Season sets are the way to go.

I don't care how unlikely this prospect is (and don't any haters waste a post on how foolish it may seem)...

I want "Sheep in the Big City" on DVD!!!

Dexter's Lab has some good VHS's, but no DVD's. The only CN DVD's out are for The Powerpuff Girls.

I would love for Ed, Edd n Eddy to be released in season sets.

Ed, Edd n Eddy - The Complete First Season
Would contain all season one episodes of Ed, Edd n Eddy

Extras:
Commentary
Past Eds promos (for commercials, new episodes, National Ed Day)
Outtakes
Deleted Scenes
Danny's past cartoons (ex: Lupo the Butcher, but I doubt that would EVER happen... those who have seen the Lupo script know what I'm talking about)
and more...

That would be wonderful... ^_^

Here's my Ed,Eddn'Eddy DVD release idea.

Season One:
Audio Commentary with Danny A., various writers and voice actors, etcetera.
Deleted Scenes
Scripts for selected episodes
Interviews
Making of Ed,Eddn'Eddy Part 1

Season Two:
Audio Commentary
Deleted Scenes
Interviews
Scripts
Making of Ed,Eddn'Eddy Part 2

so on and so forth.

I'd like a season set for E, E, and E too, but I'd also like the following:

Cow and Chicken: Includes interviews, director's commentary, behind the scenes, scripts, different languages, image gallery, commercials, the banned episode, Buffalo Gals, the uncut version of Comet! (where Dad says, "Damn it!"), and the pilot where The Red Guy is called The Devil.

Time Squad: Includes interviews, director's commentary, behind the scenes, scripts, different languages, pencil tests/clips of rejected/unfinished episodes, image gallery, the commercial with that song, "This is the Time Squad" (anyone remember that?), and outtakes/alternate takes/scenes that were edited from CN.
