Oh, I wish I could give you more information than how much I can offer. I love Gumby so much!!!!!

I suggest try looking up Gumby sites or seeing "The Gumby Movie." But, here are some of the characters I know (Gumby, Pokey, Gumbo/Gumba (Gumby's parents), Pickle, Goo, Professor Kump, and the Blockheads: G, J, B, C, A, X, Y, Z, 1, 2). I also know Gumby's sister, but I forgot her name.

I'm sorry I can't be any more help. I love Gumby a whole lot.

Minga is the name of Gumby's sister.

Gumby was alright. Gumby and Pokey were for the most part lovers despite what people. Goo just spat things out her mouth which pissed me off. Prickle was sad. The blockheads were obviously gay lovers and since Political Correctness was prevalent they never talked since they don't want gays to have rights.

Um... yeah.

I actually have the movie and I just was wondering if anyione could get screenshots. Can we keep the thread pro gumby please?Or at least try?

Oh yeah Gumby. I remember watching it a few times on Nickelodeon several years ago. It was a fairly decent show, but how good can a show be when a Mystery Science Theather 3000 MST of it was far better?

I have horrible Gumby memories as a child. It would scare me that some weird green stick thing could walk around your house,go through walls, and 'pretty much anything he wanted to'. After seeing the show for the 1st time after The Adventure of TinTin,which I thought and still think was great, I would look around my room at night waiting for the creepy clay stick thing to come after me.

what a sad childhood I had. didn't help that my brother loved the show and came home one day with a Gumby toy. But that,my friends,is a tale for another day.

I have fond memories of that show. Here's all I know of the characters (NOTE: I MAY BE WRONG ABOUT THEM)...

Gumby- Green stick of clay with this hump type thing on his head. Gumby can slide, turn into anything, and go through walls and into books (similar to Steve/Joe and Blue on Blue's Clues).

Pokey- Red horse. He serves as Gumby's best friend. I think he was kind of cowardly or cautious, I'm not for sure.

Prickle- Yellow dinosaur with white scales. I think he was kind of smart and served as the adult of the group, if you could say that. He has the exact same voice as Squidward from Spongebob...just wanted to point that out.

Goo- This blue glob of clay that kind of resembled a seal (the animal). She was the token female of the group...and did "token female" type things. I think she could fly...I'm not for sure.

Gumby's father- Red stick of clay similar to Gumby...I think he had hair too, not for sure. He did fatherly type things like save Gumby from trouble, teach Gumby lessons, and gave Gumby someone to strive to be.

Gumby's Mother- She actually had an almost human form, complete with female assets. She did motherly type things that you would expect her to do like worry about Gumby, discipline Gumby, teach him lessons...etc.

The Blockheads- They were basically sticks of clay with blocks for a head (On the side of the block would be a letter...either A B or C). They would do mischievous type things, and I believe they would chase Gumby around (for reasons I don't know or probably forgot).

The King- I don't know if I'm making this character up or not, but I could've sworn there was this king character in the show. He was either stupid or simple...I forget.

That's all I can remember. The show was a half hour long, and played 3 cartoons per half hour (I think). The show was from the late 80s (I think 1988), and not only did it play new cartoons, but it also played Gumby shorts from the 1960s too.

SIDE NOTE:

*starts crying in happiness*

Yes, I remember that MST3k episode with the Gumby short in it (The episode that played "The Screaming Skull" movie). It was one of the most funniest things to come out of that show. Here are some quotes...

*When a robot knocks Gumby's Father onto the roof, he lands on his crotch area*

Mike (imitating Gumby's Father): Thank goodness for my internal genitalia...

*When Gumby's mother calls for Gumby's attention*

Gumby: Ye...ye...yes mooother?
(Just the way Gumby says it made Mike and the bots laugh. It was just terrible voice acting)

God MST3k ripped that cartoon to shreds...

You noticed the Squidward and Prickle similarity, too? Cool. I remeber being somewhere and then having Squidward stuck in my mind and then some character with a really similar feature(s) came to me: Prickle. But, I forgot about who the character who was similar to Squidward, right then and there, and I kept on trying to remember who it was, and then a few days later, I remembered: it was Prickle. I was constantly trying to remember it, too.

Had anyone notice the similar personality with the Toaster (Brave Little Toaster) and Gumby and Sponge? And Mr. Krabs and the Mayor (Nightmare Before Christmas)? And Patrick Starfish and Oogie Boogie? Just wanted to mention that, thought it was really interesting.

Are you going to sell these comics or are they for private viewing?
If it's the former, then it MIGHT be against the law because you are using someone else's idea without their permission.
