Knights of the Zodiac" Edit List
Episode 002
American Title: "Burn! Meteor Punch of Pegasus"
Japanese Title: "Burn! Pegasus Meteor Fist" [Moero! Pegasus Ryuuseiken]
Titles are exactly the same! Whoohoo! Too bad they don't actually have Seiya SAY his attack in this episode...
The music really grated on me in this episode too. A lot of the drama when Seiya was having trouble with Geki was utterly lost.
Edit:
- Sienna is now narrator instead of an anonymous man. Though the dialogue of what she's saying and the original narrator is pretty much the same.
Addition:
- ..."and the samurai"? Wasn't aware samurai were considered knights.
- Chanting is added in various parts. Here and near the end.
Edit:
- They're not calling the tournament the Galaxian Wars.
- Same parts in the Jabu fight are cut out as before.
- Sound effects for the lion and unicorn battle are different.
- Jabu is now known as "Jab". Ohhkay.
- Sienna remarks that they contestants are fighting "without injury". That's, uhhh, very unlikely.
Addition:
- More sound added when we see the Pegasus Cloth box. (Okay Dic, you can stop. Please.)
- Sienna's greeting is much warmer in the American. She also seems confused at Seiya's less than overjoyed reaction to see her. Other than that, the dialogue is pretty darn close to the original.
- Mention of "Power of Pegasus" added to the part where it shows Seiya walking away.
- Miho really likes to talk.
- Seiya mentions that he "didn't like the orphanage". Okay, but it must've been at least somewhat better than what Mitsumasa (Lord Nobu) put you though, right, Seiya?
Edit:
- In the original, Seiya asks Miho one more time about his sister's whereabouts, whereas in the dub he gets pissed at her for mentioning the tournament. The talk between her and Makoto is almost WORD FOR WORD the same, however. YES!
Addition:
- "He's not horsing around" One of many "banter" additions in this episode.
Edit:
- No mention of a Saint fighting until they're been unable to do so, or even to the death.
- Bit of footage cut out when Seiya is walking into the colliseum.
- Impacts cut.
Addition:
- More banter added.
Edit:
- "Put bears to sleep all over these mountains" Suuure, Geki.
- What the crowd originally said was changed.
- Changed what the other Saints said about Seiya
=============================================
Overall, the episode suffered very few changes. I'll give a more in depth review when I get back.
