Nooo they Americanized my favorite opening of all time. And what was with the "STAND BY FOR DBZ"? Why does FUNi do that with their shows?

That's been there since Season 1. It's the only remnant left of the Ocean Group in the FUNi episodes.

out of all the DBZ eps, I always liked the Tournament Episodes the best.
It's too bad that half of them don't get finished (ended by a random threat to the world, or something along those lines.)

This is another good episode of DBZ. This episode have the infamous Goku getting drag by Kaiosama's Chicken bone joke. Goku hunger joke is more funnier then ever. A+

What do you mean only half of them get finished. The only really unfinished Tournaments that were seen on the show were the 25th and 28th Worlds Martial Arts Tournament. Every other tournament was completed in some form or another. (and the Battle Royale of the 25th isn't the completion I mean).

and the Cell Games (yes, I know what you're going to say, but it WAS supposed to be a tournament... but it degenerated from a tournament to a free for all.)
(And I'm not including the Dragonball Tournaments, which so far have been fought to completion)

For some reason bits and pieces of dialogue in this episode don't seem to come out as clear as something that was dubbed after 1995.

I didn't know they put dbz back an hour  I like the tournament episodes so at least I got to see the later half of it. Goku and Kaio-sama's tug-a-war with the ham is one of my favorite gags in this mini-arc! I gotta admit, I admire the way that guy eats. :D
The whole showing that guy (Moriaco?) getting beaten by Pikkon off camera and the look on the chefs faces made for some funny stuff too.

This episode is good. Not as good as some, but decent.
oh yeah, FUNI changed teh music so they didn't have to pay royalties to Toei Music, or whoever is the DBZ record Label in Japan.
Haven't seen the episode yet, I did tape it though and plan to watch it once I get offline. Can't wait. Tournament episodes definitely have a different feel to them then the 30+ episodes it takes to do a battle in the other times the Z fighters battle. Go Goku! :D

Wow, I just saw the opening. While I wasn't impressed, the animation was pretty decent, like Dragonball's OP. Are all DBZ Japanese OP's like this? I know the music was American, but I know the animation wasn't cut-and-paste like the other DBZ opening I've rarely been able to see.
