I think that the French version of the knights of the zodiac is when meme better than the American version (without wanting to criticize).
The voices are bad in the new version. But nothing is worth the episodes in Japanese

We don't have to worry about the DVDs. They will have both the original japanese language, and a different english dub. ADV is doing an uncut dub with an entirely different cast than the ones used for DiC's version.

Non, il y aura la version doublé en Anglais ( avec d'autres acteurs que la version televisé) et une version Jap sous-titres Anglais. Si seulement AB pourrait sortir des Masters sous-titrés.

They can't. DiC holds the broadcast rights, and no way would DiC show ADV's version when they can't make money off ADV's version and they already made their own.

No, it's more likely they split the rights. That's why they're each doing their own dub production. DiC's logo is only on the ADV Saint Seiya videos because DiC is a partial owner of the license rights. In the meantime, DiC has no involvement whatsoever with ADV's SS production and vice versa. ADV doesn't even keep tabs, know, or care what DiC is doing (that's straight from an ADV rep).

As far as I remember, a few months after ADV got the license, they said they were shopping the series for a broadcast version, but of course leaving all aspects of the broadcast to whoever licensed it, while they prepared the DVD version. Why? Easy, to get money too. It's a deal where both companies have benefits.

As for the saint thing, they used the term for the people who get to wear the holy cloths. They also talk abput the saints of christianity later on, and point out the difference from famous Greek heroes too.

I've been too used to "saints" and knights just give me the feeling of king arthur, hey wait...but then again there is excalibur ( if you know what i mean ;) ). I wouldnt say Saint Seiya is directly base on the real greek mythology but rather in the form of their hypermyth.
