Indeed.

What's the shrug for? Expecting Chobits or Witch Hunter Robin?

What's the shrug for? Expecting Chobits or Witch Hunter Robin?

Not necessarily those, but I was expecting something.

The Landstander

Hmm...nothing exciting. Pretty much knew about...everything beforehand.

I'm not shrugging (new ATHF/Sealab/Brak Show/Big O = cool), more....nodding. Robotic nodding. Yes, that's it.

The Drizzle
09-02-2003, 10:49 PM
Eh, I like new WS stuff, but I was looking for something...new. It just seems like that same old thing. I'll be excited when the new Home Movies and Space Ghost C2C episodes premiere in November though.

Shrug? SHRUG? Are you people ****ing psychotic?

October sounds like an awesome month. New Sealab, ATHF, Brak Show, and Big O. Sounds great to me. I mean nothing new, but where you really expecting anything that exciting before 2004 that hasn't already been announced? I'll have to agree with Jimmy. (That's a bizarre sentence)

Look who's talking.

Anyway, I don't think there's anything to get excited about. I explained why.

Wish I liked Sealab more. Or Brak. Or ATHF. Not that I DON'T like them, just not alot.

I do not have the final week of the grid.

Once I get that, I'll update this thread. I know that's what people REALLY want to see, because it has the:

Halloween Stunt
NEW Home Movies
NEW Family Guy
NEW Futurama (perhaps)
NEW Space Ghost
NEW ATHF
NEW Sealab

Where there ever episode synopsises of September's new ATHF episodes on the Adult Swim forum? If there were, I must have missed them

(sentance recycled from conversation with Landstander)

Look who's talking.

LFV posted them.....somewhere. Check his site. They're up there too.

You spelled sentence wrong, by the way. :p

What's the URL? All I remember is "little" something.

And I had originally spelled it with an "e", but the spell check to use an "a". I trusted it, damn it!

Nothing really that exciting, although I do have two questions.

1. You say the new ATHF on October 19th is "Broodwitch". But isn't that premiering on September 21st (according to the september grid). So why do you have that down as a premiere?

2. Further, where is "Total Re-Carl" (another ATHF episode). You know, the episode that was suppose to be on October 5th before "Broodwitch" pushed it to a later date (I would have presumed October 12th). Do you think that you got the dates wrong, and October's ATHF are suppose to be

October 5th: "Universal Re-Monster"
October 12th: "Total Re-Carl"
October 19th: "Revenge Of The Trees"
October 26th: The Shaving".

or something like that? Just asking.

That sentence is a little, um, "broken." :p

NEW Family Guy
NEW Futurama (perhaps)

You scared me with those. Don't ever do that again unless they're ACTUALLY new (Futurama) or more than one episode (Family Guy). Jeez, Matt, my day's been hard enough as it is. :p

nothing really that exciting that month imo.

Sealab seems usual.

Big O iz gonna rox.

And this:
October 26th - The Shaving: Shake catches schizophrenia from a toilet seat.

Just scares me.

Well, in a 4 week period we got 4 new animes premiering on the block. Big O, FLCL, Blue Gender and new eps of Inu Yasha. We'd usually see only one a month. So that October's new stuff is only Big O and WS originals shouldn't be much of a surprise anyway. Williams Street really spoiled the audience this August, they should have held off on either Blue Gender or the new Inu Yasha eps and held them back so there'd be new things for October. Oh well, I've got new Home Movies to look forward to and we'll at the least have the final 3 Big O episodes.

As others have said, nothing exciting since we all knew about them beforehand. Maybe knowing stuff in advance isn't all that fun after all. Curse the internet!

Aurochs

Well, I'm certainly looking forward to October. I have been all year. I for one happen to like the Williams Street shows, and appreciate the episode summaries. I must be the only one who didn't think Hellsing and season 4 of Family Guy would be announced to air next month.

I'm not surprised and I'm certainly not disappointed.

Ah...I can't wait until November 2nd will be up in a couple days. We can see Family Guy's unaired episode on there, Futurama's first fifth season episode on CN (I'm confused as hell about which one it would be), HOME MOVIES'S FOURTH SEASON PREMIERE!!, and whatever else that magical, magical night of premieres (In other words: the entire night all the way up to action is premieres)...

Corrado

Now, the premieres on the 5th are on another thread, right?

Amano Ginji

...Chobits isn't coming.

A moderator at the AS.com boards said that it has way too many sex related things to fly on CN.

Teio
09-03-2003, 10:35 AM
I wouldn't consider the AS.com Mods the official voice of Williams Street.

Let me pull an excerpt from the AS.com FAQ

Q: What are moderators and who are they?
A: Moderators are volunteers who help keep the Adult Swim message board presentable to scary people who have the power to end the message boards. These volunteers don't work for Adult Swim, Williams Street or Cartoon Network, so please do not look to them to answer programming questions.

Added final week.

I don't see no halloween stunt. Unless you count Futurama and FG airing "The Honking" and "Death is a *****" out of the order on Thursday night to be it.

Who said that? It's just not airing in October. If CN is airing Chobits, it's probably the Spring 2004 surprise mentioned by Mike Lazzo. Did you honestly think it was going to air in October?

Meh. At least Big O is getting it's full run. And I'll be able to laugh at more Aqua Teen. But now, once again, it's time for at least one new show.

JeffTMBG

Am I crazy, or did they already say there would be no more new anime in 2003. I'm surprised everyone is expecting new shows.

moreysurf8
09-03-2003, 04:29 PM
The new WS stuff seems good and Big O is always a plus, but like others, the schedule just seems good. There's nothing terribly special about it. Once the new Home Movies and Space Ghost starts, then I'll really get excited.

HomeMoviesFan
09-03-2003, 06:17 PM
Um...if it has been edited to include 11/2...where's Home Movies' 4th season premiere?...

ClockStomper

"New" Futurama would probably start with the lone 3ACV episode CN hasn't aired yet (some Dwight and Cubert episode, sadly.)

Too bad WS might not have the rights to the Bebop Movie since it's PERFECT for Halloween. It's practically "Cowboy Bebop: The Halloween Special".

So, is AS weekdays expanded or what?

Well, I'm certainly looking forward to October. I have been all year. I for one happen to like the Williams Street shows, and appreciate the episode summaries. I must be the only one who didn't think Hellsing and season 4 of Family Guy would be announced to air next month.

I'm not surprised and I'm certainly not disappointed.

Quit getting bent out of shape over nothing. So people are displeased there's no new anime, there's no reason to assume that they're attacking WS's shows. Just because people aren't jumping up and down with rabid excitment dosen't mean they were expecting things that are impossible for being out now (S4 Family Guy) and that they hate your beloved shows.

Yeah we got more then enough anime. I wanna go through another run or so of the stuff we got right now before bringing in more. And while their at it bring back Kikaider for two more runs like they are FLCL! http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

I wasn't thinking about FG s4, but I sure as hell expected Hellsing to pop up somewhere before Halloween. Too bad it's going to Action.

I'd prefer they run through Big O season 1 again, since it'd be a shame to let those tapes go to waste. Cut the ops if run time is preventing reruns.

Maybe they're saving 'em for a full 26 episode repeat run in december.

Any new content just seems to be good content to me. Especially since the WS shows are the ones I really care about at the moment.

because thats the following week. 11/2 is the premiere of the Family Guy lost episode.

The Landstander
09-04-2003, 03:05 PM
Bah, can't help thinking that's a lost opportunity. I would've just put the HM Season 4 premiere after Family Guy, myself. FG is sure to bring in a large audience, and some of them are bound to stick around. =\

That's what I'm thinking. The only way HM will get attention is if it was AFTER a show, not a leader. People have seen FG somewhere else, they'll stick. HM, I doubt it. They won't. Why? People are idiots and don't have time for anything that hasn't been seen on their precious networks like FOX, ABC, NBC or...CBS?...
