Box of Style

What do you all think of The Box of Style (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/shop/swm/aap/shirt/SPC01ASW101S.01.html) being offered at Adultswim.com and aggresively promoted during the commercial breaks?

Personally I'd be alot more likely to take advantage of this deal if there was some sort of choice in the package. There's probably nothing you can substitute for the wristband and airfreshener but in the least there should be a choice of Tees and hats.

But I do love the idea of offering a package deal and think they should offer more, just give consumers a wider selection.

It'd also be nice if they were to offer more AS merchandise tied to the anime. The only anime related thing they offer now is their "cuz anime is teh s uck" shirt, which strikes me as kinda anti-anime. I'd like some choice in anime-related Adult Swim merchandise. It may be harder for AS to develop anime-related merchandise since they don't own the anime they run. (But maybe they could come up with some anime merchandise based around Big O since Cartoon Network has half ownership and Big O is proving popular.) (^_*)

Anyway, I was actually thinking of getting the box of style. I'm surprised to see a negative reaction to it. It looks pretty cool to me. I wish there was a piece of Sealab 2021 merchandise as well, though.

Well, the thing with the shirt, if you get the quote, is that most people will buy it because they hate anime. But anyone who knows the joke (rampant idiocy from adultswim.com) will laugh their asses off at the person. And the only way AS would probably offer more anime stuff is just distributing whats out their now...unless they work out some sort of AS Special Edition figure deal.

They ought to include something Adult Swim generic, with just their logo and maybe a genre-neutral tag line, but no reference to any specific show. If they had a black cap or shirt with just [Adult Swim] on it in white, I could go for it.

I don't think so. That's pretty much standard delivery disclaimer
(don't expect it within 2 weeks, but you can complain only after 6 weeks
- gives them 4 weeks/a whole month margin of error).

Paid a visit to the AS Store, where they now have some more anime-related merchandise.

Current offerings include an Inuyasha t-shirt, 2 different Cowboy Bebop t-shirts, the "teh s uck" shirt, an Ein plush, a Vash with Cat figurine, busts of Faye and Spike, a .hack//sign DVD Vol. 1, and Vols. 2-9 of the Viz Inuyasha DVDs. All at list price.

Somebody over there has been paying attention. (^_*)

I'd absolutely be motivated to get Box of Style if it included something like this, although it isn't really a "style" item (but is an air freshener, either?). I guess Big O is not the easiest thing to merchandise or hasn't yet kicked into gear; I myself haven't run across any T-shirts or anything, and was hoping that sort of thing would show up in numbers through their store.

Well since I already have the ATHF shirt and the Master Shake air freshener I really wouldn't have much of a use for the box of style. My Master Shake air freshener is special though because I won it through the Adult Swim Life Time of Happiness sweepstakes.
