Okay, now that I have more questions than answers from this show, I think I'll just begin by listing some. I realize some of these will be answered later in the games, hopefully. Okay, here it goes.
1. What on earth was Aura created for?
2. Same question for Morgana, and where is she exactly referred to as Morgana?
3. Who was Harold referring to as beloved?
4. What is the blasted key of twilight?
5. Do we ever find out what happened to the rest of the characters?
6. How is it that everyone seems to know Maha is female?
7. By the way, what IS Maha?

1)We get to see Tsukasa, Surabu, and Sora in real life on the last .hack//SIGN episode Return, but I'm not sue about the others.

A great deal of your questions are answered in the PS2 games, which take place after episode 26 of the .hack///SIGN anime.

The answers to a lot of those questions lies in the PS2 games. ;) In fact I believe they're answered by the end of the second game(though it's been awhile since I've played the games).

I'm working off a crappy memory here, so don't quote me.


1. If I remember correctly she's sort of a 'virtal child' Harold created as a dedication to his dead lover(wife?) and was meant to take control of The World from Morganna

2. Morganna is called by name in .hack//mutation

3. Harold was referring to Emma, the afformentioned dead lover. I believe she has something to do with the creation of Morganna.

4. Not really sure myself. :sweat:

5. Same as above.

6. Later on in the games(we havn't gotten that far in the US) it's revealed that Maha isn't truly 'dead', just changed into the cat-girl Mia. There's also that girlish scream coming out of her when she's being data-drained in ep 25, though it's a lot more noticable in the Japanese version.

You're forgetting Mimiru. Back in episode 7, they showed a very brief scene at the beginning at a railroad crossing or something. I'm pretty sure that's Mimiru out of context of the scene.

Just to add to what others have said, you also see Bear, if I recall correctly, in a couple of different episodes. You see him in an episode where it's raining (and he's been looking for Tsukasa), and you also see him in real life in the episode where he's arguing/talking with his son, I think.

I've heard that she's also referred to Morgana (Or Morguanna/her Japanese name) in the credits.. Somwhere. I've only heard this, mind you. ;) Might be in either the American or Japanese version..

We see everyone other than Crim and Silver Knight in real life. Tsukasa and Subaru are obvious, we see Mimiru standing in the rain once, Bear at the hospital where Tsukasa is, and we see BT in the episode about her. Plus we see Sora after he gets absorbed into that monster.
