Ah the usual Titans getting whipped at an episodes start. I'm beginning to like seeing these loser in pain!

Second half was cool. Still don't care for Raven though. Super Raven was pretty cool! Kind of a crazy freaky episode but actually pretty good.
Robin was even watching static to avoid going to see Raven lol

Pretty cool. Nice to get a look at Raven's inner self. Robin and Starfire were funny, and Beast Boy and Cyborg provide comedy relief as usual. Next episode looks great.
What was with the OP is Japanese?

What an out-there episode this whole thing was. A few interesting things to note:
- Two things that may have been references in the beginning fight scene: The villain's name and the bike that Raven throws looking a lot like Kaneda's.
- Are we starting to get hints of a Beast Boy/Raven pairing? Guess poor Cyborg's alone, unless there's another cyborg out there.
- Raven's reason for her out-of-control temper? "Let's just say I had problems with my father." Ummm....That sounds way too dark for me, unless I'm looking at it the wrong way.

To make things short and simple, this is the BEST EPISODE EVER! Mostly because it deals with the best character in the group, Raven. This is really the first time we get to go really deep into a character's persona, and, to be truly honest, there's no better character to do so than Raven (the only other character this might sound interesting for is Starfire). It was also nice to see Beast Boy develop a closer bond with Raven, too. My only possible complaint would be all the interruptions by Robin and Starfire (were they really necessary? I don' think so). Besides that, I had no problems whatsoever. And, to top it all off, the opener was Japanese, adding a new twist to an old (well, not that old) opener. Great.
My Official Score: 5/5
And, from the looks of it, next week's episode looks good too, as Raven and Starfire switch bodies (all though the preview made Starfire sound a bit bratty toward Raven).

The Many, Many, Many Sides Of Raven in the Teen Titans Episode Review of "Nevermore".
First off, the theme song being in Japanese just makes an even stronger argument for all the anime shows on AS (that wouldn't run over the time limit with it) to have openings, but enough about that. This was a great episode. Just as great as I thought it would be. The opening with Raven scaring the bejesus out of Doctor Light was great, as well as Raven acting dark at Breakfast. Which of course got Cyborg and Beast Boy into Raven's Room and then getting sucked up in her mirror and meeting all of her diffrent personalities (well happiness, sadness and bravery anyway) and then Regular Raven coming in as angry demon Raven personality came out (Notice how she said she has issues with her father. Read The Bio On The Teen Titans Tower Site (that has all the comic information) to find out the whole story on that. It's a doozy) and Raven managing to defeat her by combining all her diffrent personalities and with a little help from her friends. And hey, Beast Boy and Cyborg even understand Raven a bit more, and vice versa. Other Highlights were Starfire thinking that Beast Boy's breakest was a marrige proposal and then trying to get Robin to go into Raven's room with her. I give this episode an A+.
Oh, and one more thing
Are we starting to get hints of a Beast Boy/Raven pairing? Guess poor Cyborg's alone, unless there's another cyborg out there.
Actually, they were hinting that in "Final Exam" as well, when Raven was healing Beast Boy after their first battle with Gizmo Mammoth and Jinx. A realitvley small scene, but important nontheless.
Now let's see if I got this strait:
The other Ravens (including the orange "Burp Raven") were Ravens emotions that she banished through meditation, and the Raven we're been seeing was an emotionless Raven. The "white Raven" was all of her emotions except hatred, so she was an embodiment of good in Raven. In the end, all of Ravens emotions returned to her, so she started acting more normal.
Wait a sec, this show shouldn't be making me think this much! There's something terrably wrong....

definatly the best episode so far. a great look at raven as well as a peice of her past. The interaction between beast boy/ cyborg and beast boy/ raven and just beast boy in general was great. The whole tofu egg thing was funny too.

I would never thought of hearding the song in japanese! I love it! :D I wonder if that going to be on the NICE album.... :p
A Japanese theme song for an American show... that's different. For some reason, it sounded a little more upbeat.
I enjoyed the different Ravens and worlds. The Breakfast scene was funny, too. ("I dunno, sometimes I just sorta tune you out.") The storyline, overall, was great because I couldn't tell what would happen next. The moral also wasn't as "in your face" as the last two episodes. Raven has a posh little room. ;) My only complaint is that I think they're over-using the red lines on the face expression.. they can't be THAT embarrassed.

This episode was great, it was interesting seeing the different sides of Raven.
I found her cute in a "dark" way to begin with, but the happy Raven, timid Raven and nerdy Raven were also cute. :D

Raven in my favorite of all of them, so I really enjoyed this episode. And yes, the crying chibi Raven was adorable. I liked all the different emotion Ravens, and the "super" Raven in the white was awesome. And next week's episode looks real fun to watch too.

Well, I've known that the people behind Teen Titans have gotten some inspiration from FLCL. However, today's episode does have a feel as if they had a small sample of the crack that the FLCL creators used, considering the world various forms of Raven, the strange area that Beast Boy and Cyborg arrive at when following happy Raven, and, of course, chibi sad Raven. Next week's episode looks interesting, with Raven and Starfire switching bodies (which will probably lead to some good laughs).

I am a big Raven fan and wow, must i say this is the best episode yet in this series, even though the series just started :). I have never read the comics, never heard of it, but i currently love the show. I love the beginning before the theme started. I hope they will make more episodes about raven :).

Not bad, we see more into Raven's character. It was amusing when Cyborg and Beast Boy had their little venture into Raven's mind. I thought it was kinda of neat having Robin flipping through channels as Beast Boy, Raven, and Cyborg dueled that darker side of Raven. It was a neat way to have that transition between Raven's mind and Robin & the concerned Starfire.
Hmm, I wonder why CN went with the Japanese version of the opening song. It was odd, but I did find it enjoyable. :)
Favorite scene:
When the duo find themselves back at that barren landscape, Cyborg blurts out:
"HEY I know where we are! We are in that place where I didn't know where we were before."

Happy Raven.
Nervous Raven.

Rodger Bumpass (!) as Dr. Light.
The scene with the tofu.
Raven smiling (!) at the end.
Tara Strong did a good job with all the Ravens.
Negatives:
Too much Beast Boy.

It was definitly the best episode yet!!!!! Raven's my favorite of the Teen Titans. I Loved the different sides to Raven like the Happy ... Timid ... and Brave.

tha writing for teen titans is simply getting better by the week. Still funny, still great fights, and not too serious. you can easily make a case that this is the best novel show for this year, with TMNT and Sonic X close seconds.
"sometimes i tune you out" and "this is not even real milk" should take all the haters of cyborg to rest. he always has funny lines and is getting his deserved shine in the last two eps. Each character did better than a b+, with robin getting it. all were funny, not annoying, and used perfectly.
And fa all you people out there, quit hatin' on cyborg!!!

"Nevermore" was great.
So great I would actually buy it, should it be released commerically. This is my favorite episode thus far, beating out "Sisters", my previous fave., which was a very good episode anyway.
From the looks of the preview, the next episode looks to be pretty good too. Starfire/Raven switch...
Hmm, I kinda dug the Japanese opening. Quite cool.
But with all of this show's anime-like qualities, upon hearing the Japanese opening... I did a double-take. I thought I was watching anime, not American-made Teen Titans. :anime:

The male Dr. Light was killed off in "Crisis on Infinite Earths" in the '80s and was replaced by a Japanese woman.

Great episode, when I saw the preview for this episode I really wasn't looking forward to it, guess I was wrong. I loved Cyborg and Beast Boy's reactions to everything, but mostly Beast Boy's reactions, those were great moments.
I give Nevermore an A, best TT episode yet. Next week's episode looks like it'll be interesting.

In some anime when they don't translate the song into English but subtitle it they may switch periodically between English or Japanese subtitles. They may just have a group of episodes with the English version and a group with the Japanese.

That was an awesome episode! Seeing all of Raven's emotions was cool (To think that mirror was a gateway into Raven's mind.).Next week's ep looks really good too. Any mind-switch episode is great, but this looks like so much fun!

I think not. I read at Titans Tower.com that the comic book Beast Boy fell in love with the teen titan Terra(I hope she makes an appearance on the show :p ).

I don't think the shock I had was hearing the Japanese theme to TT tonight (since PPG also had a couple Japanese theme songs). It was hearing it live on American TV!
As for the episode, a great venture into Raven's mind in trying to figure out the source of her problems. The beginning seemed like typical fare....until Raven's first psyche-out against Dr. Light. (sorry, but I think it fits better with Megaman's inventor) We had a couple more comedic scenes involving Beast Boy's vegetarianism (and Cyborg's complaints)...but the episode really took off in the mirror where we got to see all sorts of Ravens, including "Starfire" Raven (she's cute to an extent, but the flying strawberry definately freaked me out), gloomy Raven (thanks for the SD pic), "Robin" Raven (well, she was wearing green...hmmm) and (thanks to Bubblegum Girl) even "good" Raven! As for the guys....well Beast Boy was funny, but again I just like Cyborg's own attitude problem. And yes, more cute Starfire antics complete the equation to a great episode.
Um, one thing. Since when did Beast Boy and Raven act like they don't like each other? I mean, they had their little moment in Final Exam, and they seemed to be not-hating each other in other episodes, so why do they think the other hates them?
Chibi Raven is the cutest DC character ever.

Just popping in to add my kudos the bunch. Like most everyone else here, I'd also call it the best ep yet. At least until next week's ep, which looks really good. Body-switching! We've got to have body-switching!
Also, just have to add, I am more and more impressed with -- not going to try to remember/spell his name -- the actor who does Cyborg. I'm not sure his lines are particularly funny, but the guy sure knows how to make them sound funny.

- i don't care if it was in her room, you don't leave a mirror that leads to inside your head just laying out where anyone who entered your room could see. if i had that mirror i have locked up in a strongbox and hide it under my bed.
- i think raven looks good in white, what about you guys?

Dr. Light getting whipped like that was insulting to me as a Mega Man fan. I know they are not the same, but that was low.

I was able to catch this episode when it showed.. and wow. good thing I didn't miss this one. Great episode :) Way cool that we got to see like the inner feelings of Raven. Very good way to show all sides of her character.. and that Super Raven in white.. looked good. It reminded me of her in the comics. The interaction with Robin and Starfire was good, especially with the part when he's barely able to hold her back from knocking.. lol . :D

Well, the way I see it is that each of Raven's manifested personalities were that emotion or part of her in its purest form. "Gloomy" Raven was just acting out one of Raven's largest fears- to be truly alone without a single friend. When you think about it, Beast Boy has interacted the most with her, so her insecure side would fear losing that interaction.
The simple fact is that their personalities clash so much that neither one can truly understand the other. This causes them to think that the other one hates them (ouch! bad sentence!) when something goes a little crazy- such as Raven's rage manifestations or Beast Boy's teasing.

Um... in other news, White Raven was pretty friggin' cool. Did you all see how the dark energy she uses was coming out of her eyes and mouth during the face off with her father (er... rage personality)? Very cool.
Here's hoping that they'll animate the comics' Trigon-Raven story arc. That would be extremely cool.

Well, typically, Japanese songs don't rhyme, so if this one does, it's unusual. (There's a fair bit of rhyme there in the Tiny Toons theme, though, it must be said.)
What ARE the English lyrics, anyway? This was only the third episode of this show that I've seen, so I haven't even memorized the English lyrics yet. All I remember is "They've got the bad guys on the run".
