If anyone cares, and I know there are at least a few of you who do, a new "Hamtaro" episode airs this Sunday (tomorrow) at 2:30pm. It's a birthday special of some kind.
As usual, feedback and (pertinent) comments are welcome.

W00t! New Hamtaro! I'm so there!
I will definatly watch it if I remember. I like Hamtaro, but it won't be a show I go out of my way to see. I do hope I catch it, though.
I was watching a season one episode today, it was the stupid one aout the clocks. It's funny to see how fat they all were in those early episodes.

Yeah, the older episodes had poorer animation quality. But later on, it definitely got better.
I really wish they put all the episodes on DVD instead of selected ones... :p

Well, since it doesn't air for another 16 hours, I'll just make conversation.
This was the first "Tottoku Hamutaro" (hey, they stole my name :( ) OVA. It was originally titled "Hamutaro's First Birthday". The second OVA is about a treasure hunt.
So, now that one of the OVAs has been aired, I wonder if they're gonna dub the movies.

Well they're airing the treasure hunting one now. They said after that Hamtaro's Birthday would air after that. And was that 2nd Opening (The One after the regular one) the OVA opener? Seemed like it.

The Hamtaro "Hamtaro Birthday Special" Review, even though Treasure Hunting Takes Up About 3/4 of the episode.
Hamtaro is what I considered to be very cute fluff. Nothing offensive or downright bad, but nothing incredibley outstanding or exceptional. It's just a lot of fun to see the Ham Hams interact and go on adventures, and here you even get a nice cute little song all the way through. The treasure hunt was okay, highlight being how the diffrent groups of Ham-Hams arrived on the island (whether by Box/Bird, Boat, or by... pig) and them finding the actual "treasure". The Hamtaro Birthday Section was one of the cutest things I've ever seen on CN, espically giving out each hamster's birthday date. I give this a B.

I'm watching the Treasure Hunt episode right now, cool seeing appearances by Jingle, Herbert, and Sabu. And we get a new hairy ham ham , whose name I forgot , was is Heidi or something. Nice hearing some new songs. How the heck did Herbert get to the beach? Did he run on water or is the beach connected to the land where the boat left? Maxwell and his group had to take a boat, and Hamtaro and his group had to take a box and some airtravel.
Second part of Treasure Hunt ep: Pretty cool how the song lyrics were the clue to finding the treasure. And we get more ham hams like Elder Ham and Autie Viv, Heidi (Hibee)'s grandma, and two other old hams. We also get to see what they looked liked when they were younger.
Hamtaro Birthday ep: I thought it was a whole new eps, but oh well. Nice hearing each of the Ham hams sing. I liked the part when they showed eache of Ham Ham's birthdays. Although why is Hamtaro's birthday being celebrated on Aug 31 if he was born on Aug 6.
Interesting fact: Jingle and I have the same birthday

When Sabu spoke, I thought that it sounded like Richard Cox and I looked in the credits and there he was.
Damn, I though this was just a half hour long and that's what I set my VCR for. So I only got to see around a half hour of it... :( *cries*
What I saw was pretty good. Heidi found the map in the celler looking for a cold snack for her grandma... yeah right. I bet her grandma died and she was looking at her grandmothers old stuff that was stored away and found the map.
Hamtaro's lucky Sabu came along and happened to have many bird friends at JUST the right moment.
God, why did they ever have to give Herbert a voice?! It was fine wehn he just made pig noises, but now with his "oinkies" I desire to hit him with a lead pipe...
yep, those were both OVAs. How in the world Hamtaro's Birthday became a full OVA is beyond me. *shrugs*
Well, how long until we get a soundtrack for this show? It would be funny to play it in your car at full blast while driving through a neighborhood :p

I liked the episode. No humans involved and the B-day episode was interesting. Didn't know Hamtaro and Cappy share the same B-Day's.
Also,I like Howdy and Dexter's singing number. They're both cool.

From a guy at another board he said that: After everyone started singing, Hamtaro went to look for his mother. They got to the pet store and he learn that his mother died a long time ago and her cage has been cleaned out for a while. He cries, then once the party ends, he ses a vision of his mother in the sky saying that she loves him and she wishes him a happy birthday.
....Sadness.

He usually blows things way out of proportion too.

The treasure hunt thing was great. They even sent Laura off to camp so she wouldn't notice Hamtaro being gone for days on end. Though I wonder why Laura's mom wouldn't have noticed.
But gee, was that birthday thing really an OVA? It was only about ten minutes long.
