I just saw the Preshow of the VMAs, and at the end of a segment about 50 Cent versus Eminem, Stewie Griffin was the last one talking about who's the illest rapper and flashing a "Stewie for Governor" sign at the end.
Animation a bit off, but it was strange seeing Stewie in something new.

Jeff said it was during the preshow. I don't think MTV reruns those.

Jeff said it was during the preshow. I don't think MTV reruns those. They're rerunning it this weekend at least twice. The next airing is on Saturday afternoon at 12 PM EST. I'm sure they're going to show it on Sunday and Monday as well.

My parents are being asshats and won't relinquish the TV ("You can have it at eleven for your stupid cartoon shows") so I set the vcr to MTV and set it to manual record...but I only thought to do it after the first half hour of it was over. Does Stewie appear after that? I'd rather not waste tape.
"Stupid cartoon shows" hmph. I've caught them laughing at Futurama from time to time.

Well according to the T.V guide, the VMA Pre-Show will play on 12:00 p.m on Saturday, August 30th. So try and catch it then. I missed it as well. And to think I thought the Pre-Show would have nothing worthwhile in it.

Okay, luckily I temporarily got the TV and caught it just in time. I'm glad that old people have weak bladders!
So Seth is okay with lower budget animation. Does this mean he may reverse his decision and do FG for CN?
STEWIE is on right about 40 to 45 minutes into the pre-show, if your planning on tuning in on Saturday,

You'd think so right...CN wants 'em too, unlike FOX. Come on Seth play ball with WS!!!

The colors looked really pale for whatever reason...but it didn't matter. Stewie was being more vulgar than ever, so animation quality didn't matter. It isn't like FG is Futurama, a million dollars an episode really isn't nessesary, it's not like they ever DO anything that great with it.

As for Stewie, I thought that was great, Family Guy must be getting some good ratings for them to do that.

Yeah...I saw it too...the bit was hilarious but the animation was much rougher than normal and the colors were very muted.......
I tell ya what..when the Modonna/Britney/Xtina thing happened...all I could think of was Err from Revenge of the Mooninites...."and they're kissing each other!" :moon2:

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it. Hell, I didn't get to see much. I only saw Eminem beating the crap out of that puppet. That and the ending (Nice to see Elliot finally win a trophy). My parents just have to watch news that time.
I'm gonna catch the reruns this weekend.

Not even Stewie Griffon could convince me to watch MTV. Not even Jesus Christ...

"Listen to me, Mr. Cent. If you want to make it in this business, you better lay off the doobie. STEWIE FOR GOVERNOR!"
:D
The animation looked fine, to me. A little rougher than the originals, sure, but certainly tolerable.

I saw it too. Hmmm, if AS get's new Family Guy Episodes made specifically for the block, I hope they use the animation they had in the MTV Award Pre-Show at least. BTW, I had this weird dream where on the VMA's, Eminem was talking about what he did to Trimpuh the Insult Comic Dog last year and beat up that Crank Yankeers doll (like he did in the VMA's) then Stewie came on stage and beat the crap out of Eminem in a FG like fight sequence.
... Am I really that insane?

Bah, I still think they can make episodes of Family Guy on the same budget as Justice League, without that sharp a drop in quality. It's not like FG has space dog fights and a lot of 3D, like Futurama.

Stewie should have used a complex system of behemoth and state-of-the-art satellites to rain napalm down on Viacom studios, destroying the plague of MTV once and for all, and eliminating it from the airwaves. 50 Cent and Emenim would be acceptable collateral.
But that's just my suggestion.
