What are your thoughts on this series?
For those who are interested, the page below will take to a site full of information on the historical figures that influenced most of the characters in Rurouni Kenshin, such as, Kawakami Genzai (who Himura Kenshin was modeled after).

This is a great show, really it is. Very accurate on a number of levels, but still it requires some suspension of disbelief.
For those who have seen the series (I have not), what are the chances that it could be aired on Toonami or Adult Swim Action? How much editing is required.

Toonami? No way in the seven hells, it's just too violent. Adult Swim, possibly.
Anyone have favorites on characters? I for one, adore Aoshi and Saitou.

If the series is anything like the Prequel OVA movie "Samurai X", then its definitely not Toonami material. Blood does not gush out like a waterfall when someone slashes you with a sword. The unrealistic bleeding makes it not Toonami material and will definietly be edited.

I love how they give the duality to Kenshin I mean he can go back and forth from being this kind and gentle swordsman, to this wild almost demonic warrior.
My fav charecters in order.
Kenshin for the reasons listed above.
Megumi: I love all of her and Sano's dialouges.
Hiko: So much Ego, in such a small head. But the thing is that he "knows" he's good.
Saito: What can I say he is the "Wolf."
Sojirou
Spoilers from Kyoto...
Did anyone else ball like a little baby when they saw Sojirou's back story? That was so sad.
Shishio Makoto: Really cool villan as well, pure evil.
Uswei (spelling?) All about the eye of the heart.
Never seen Enishi but he seems really awesome as well.

Yeah it was very sad, just like Anji's story was. I didn't really blame Aoshi for going rather insane too, I would of went a little crazy too if all my friends were killed saving me and all. As for my favorites.....
1. Sanosuke ( It's funny watching him argue with Megumi and Saitou.)
2. Hiko ( He and Kenshin's moments training had me rolling.)
3. Kenshin (He's always been cool, even as the Battousai.)
4. Saitou ( "Aku Soku Zan" is all I need to say.)
5. Soujiro ( His backstory was very sad, plus he's always smiling, even when he kills.)
6. Aoshi (Just plain cool, reminds me alot of Squall.)
This is getting long, so I'll stop here.

In looks or personality? 'Cause if you mean looks, then you're saying Aoshi looks like a Jrocker since Squall was based on one.
And one Saitou phrase I NEVER get tired of hearing (especially when it's directed at Sano), "Ahou."

don't you know that one of the laws of anime is that everyone has four gallons of high pressurized blood that one little nick can spew out a large amount of blood.

More of in personality, but the only difference in it is that he doesn't really have it to the extent of being a jerk, like Squall does.
