You know, while "Very Personal Injury" is my least favorite Birdman episode (mainly because I've seen it so many times) I have a new appreciation about it. At least it knows how to do a funny courtroom scene, unlike the courtroom scene from Penguin Behind Bars. Which was just painful.
That's because Penguin Behind Bars wasn't trying to be funny (at least I don't think it was).
...talking over the credits? Oh, God no.
That's a step closer to squeeze credits, which I pray will never happen on AS.

Augh. I hope credits voice-overs like the one during ATHF tonight don't become a common occurance.

That Hot Topic voiceover during ATHF was annoying and intrusive, it wasn't quite as bad as Penn Jillette over MST3K, though.

At least it hd to do with ATHF. I'm guessing it was a one time scene.

Well, as long as there are no squeeze credits. I ****ing hate squeeze credits.

I wouldn't worry so much about it.
1) At least it's not squeeze credits. As said, they are much worse.
2) It's probably a one time thing, or a few weeks at most. Tonight seems to be "Pimp Adult Swim Swag" day, anyway, what with the HGB ad.
3) It's not like we haven't seen the ATHF credits a million times. Plus, the voice on the SG:CTC credits cut out before the "Ghost Planet will explode" part, so it's not really ruining anything.

I dont know I may be crazy or I may just be an idiot but, on last night's lupin the 3ed.(the one with the stamp and the little girl) When Inspector Zenigata is sliding down the door of the castle, as he is sliding iam pretty sure his cooly is showing as he slides. Its only for about a second but iam pretty sure I saw it, although I May be wrong just letting you know though.

lol, My aunt use to say that to me when i was little instead of but. hehe :p
You know, I never noticed this, but when Steve pops out of Dr. Weird and he says "Not before the drumroll!" (or something like that), there's a drumroll at the very beginning of the theme song. I like that.
I miss Mightor. Mentok is funny and all, but I like Mightor more.

I might as well review "Very Personal Injury."
This was another very funny Birdman. Highlights included Black Vulcan (Super Vulcan), the drunk guy in the beginning, Reducto, the scene with the Wonder Twin. But my favorite part was the Super Friends parody segment at the end with all the "superheroes" (Jesse Jackson, etc.)
Out of 5 stars, I give it 4.5.

RARRRRR! I hate voice overs and I'm really hoping that they don't become standard for AS. I can learn to deal with it, but they ruin the mood. But as many have said, it's squeeze credits that are truly unforgiveable (I'm looking at you TNN).
"A Very Personal Injury" is actually my favorite of the early HB:AaLs. It is a little one-note at times (and those jokes did wear thin), but it had a lot of great stuff nonetheless. Black Vulcan (aka Supervolt) was great. The, "well why don't we just call you Whitefish," bit is a favorite of mine.
For some reason I had forgotten about "Super Bowl", which is odd because it was hilarious. Carl in top form and while Master Shake with a hideous complexion, obesity, cancer, and diabeties was disgusting, his profanity-ridden hissy fit (replete with interesting cencoring) was great. I had somehow forgotten Boxy Brown too, which is further odd, because he was great.
And as to "Chickmate", oh yeah, Sealab 2021 used to be kind of funny (I do still love Sparks).

"Harvey Birdman, Attourney At Law"
I LOVED all the Superfriends jabs on this episode. An improvement over last week's. Very, very funny at times.
I'm giving "Very Personal Injury" a B-.
"Aqua Teen Hunger Force"
Hillarious comedy gold. The characters were at their best, like the poster above mentioned. Also, Boxy Brown was one of the funniest things I've seen on a WS original.
I give "Super Bowl" An A-.
"Sealab 2021"
Funny, random and idiotic. Just how I like my Sealab. Whoever wrote that card on Ren & Stimpy was right. WS is smarter than that, and after this Sealab, I know just how smart and anti-toilet humor they really are. To all this I say:
Quinn: And why do you think you'd make a good father?
*forgot*: SEX!!!!!!!
I'm going with an A- on this one.
"Space Ghost: Coast To Coast"
This was better than "Jerk". Lots of chuckle-worthy moments, like the Spam song. I have nothing more to say.
I give this one a C+.
"The Oblongs"
Out of sheer curiosity, I decided to watch this. Damn my curiosity. After about 15 minutes of suffering, I decided my pain tolerance could only go so far and changed the channel to Comedy Central for a good, wholesome, "Dilbert" repeat.
I give this one an F. (The only reason I didn't add a minus is because MOST of the characters (*cough*Helga*cough*) had pleasant voices and because it was better than Ripping Friends)
This Sunday's lineup, from best to worst:
1. Sealab 2021/Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
2. Penguins Behind Bars.
3. Harvey Birdman, Attourney At Law.
4. The Oblongs.

They whacked him in "Yabba Dabba Don", remember? He was crushed by rocks? Personally, I think Mentok is funnier with his "ooooweeeeoooooh" and his insane mentalist routine.

Yes indeed. He's Spike, Hakaider, and Roger Smith (Big O).

I know, but I still miss him. Shake has had cancer, diabetes, and melted into radioactive goo, so why can't Mightor survive a rock?

Yes, but HB:ALL has a little bit of more continuity than SG:C2C, Sealab 2021, ATHF, and The Brak Show. If Sparks is disemboweled by a radioactive mango, and Carl's house mutilated by a massive B-52s quoting badger, it goes back to normal in the next episode. But if, for example, Peanut's testes were amputated, he'd remain a unik in the next episode.

Is it just me or did the robot make out scene seem longer the first time?

I don't know why some people say she was just fixing his arm, I mean the old cards said there would be a "robot makeout scene" & the episode wouldn't have been rated PG-S if she was just fixing his arm.

demonkid202, yeah the "make-out" scene was longer the first time it aired. If i'm not mistaken, they took out one or maybe two of the more suggestive silhouette scenes. Maybe they took out some other stuff to, but the scene was definitely shortened. This doesn't bode well for a particular upcoming series starting on August 4th that I won't mention by name. Doesn't bode well at all.

i missed the Tomb Raider thing due to ren and stimpy running past midnight
I missed the first half of it due to me watching Excel Saga Episode 13 on my DVD.
Why was there blood on Jiro's hand? I was wondering that the first time I saw the episode but I forgot about it after the episode ended.

That scene was shortened? I dunno. I think it just may have felt like it was longer the first time, since I was on the floor gaping at the TV in complete shock.
And having viewed that episode again, I've finally decided that that scene is just supposed to be the biggest red herring ever created by the hand of man. Mainly because of: a) little technical details, like the fact that when Mitsuko kisses Jiro the next day, it's pretty obvious that it's the first time. That's not the behaviour of two people that have been that intimate, that recently. And for the fact that, um, Jiro was the one on his back the entire time. b) Because the other explanation makes my head spin. Not to mention my understanding of biomechanics. And c) because, speaking from a female perspective, if they really did do anything, Mitsuko would be in a lot of pain the next morning. A LOT.
In summary, I give you my ultimate thought on the matter from Sluggy Freelance (granted the roles are reversed):
"I wonder if she's fully biologically functional."
"Either that or she's full of sharp, jagged metal parts and..."
"YEAAAAAH! Question withdrawn!"
Eep.
