Yeah, I was there..I was the stupid kid in the red shirt on the far right side who was waayy too nervous and jackassy for his own good. I apologize to all AS guys members who were there.
Anyways, I want to know if any got any footage of the destined-to-be-classic militant feminist moment! If you weren't there, you missed it! A blonde, short-haired woman walks up, asking, very sternly "You're probably all going to boo me for this, but I'm not cartoons..but..I do like this whole Adult Swim thing, but..where're all the chicks?!"
This led to the AS guys kinda breezing through it, saying there's a chick in Sealab (I was expecting either the woman or someone in the crowd to make a reference to "Swimming in Oblivion"..alas not) and Brenden Small saying how there are many women in Home Movies. Another AS guy (Sorry if I'm not being specific, happened so fast) and saying how many women work for the shows and write for it also. This gets a rousing applause. The woman, realizing her defeat, starts to go back, turns back around and shoots off to Brett Butler (Quinn on Sealab) "You look like Vin Diesel's wussier cousin!"
This, in turn, causes Butler to go into Quinn mode, going on a rant too long and fast to really remember word for word except for the pleasure of hearing Quinn say "****" and stepping one foot on the table. The woman just goes into classic gangsta "Whaz up, foo? Ya wanna start sumthin?" pose. The panel ends soon after due to lack of time after the usual goodbyes and such.
C'mon, this thing *begs* to be recorded..
Does anybody have a transcript of the stuff said at Comic Con at least?
