Theres only a few needed edits for language and minor violence cuts,,and it would be a perfect way to promote the dvd.

... How exactly would showing the movie promote the DVD? Especially if viewers knew about it, they would just tape the movie on the air, then less people would buy the DVD it seems to me...

They could just show it after the DVD has already been released for a few months.

It would promote the DVD because hardcore anime fans would want the movie uncensored and in the best possible video quality. Also Cartoon Network would probably show it pan-and-scammed, which the discerning film fan avoids like a wild, plague-ridden dog that reeks of fecal matter. (-:

Yeah, most of the fans who are hardcore enough to consider taping it would want the DVD so they could have it unedited. And the casual fan wouldn't bother taping it, but it might interest them enough for them to buy the DVD. It's a win-win situation.

I think they should. I mean, I own the DVD already and I saw it in the movie theater, too (Ann Arbor ROCKS!!) but it would still be fun to see it on tv. For people who can't dish out the cash for a DVD and didn't have the fortune of living near about 20 selected cities...

I don't think there's any doubt that the movie will be on AS. The question is, when? I wouldn't be surprised if it was shown on Sunday, once Big O Season 2 is done (late October). Or sometime during or immediately after its next run on AS (starting Aug 11).

If Bebop movie aired on AS it would be in widescreen, like Char's Counterattack, unless Sony does not want to give them a widescreen version. Although I don't see why they'd not give it to them. Seeing as, making a fullscreen version would only cost more money to do.

Ah, okay, that's cool then. I missed out on Char's Counterattack-- never been a big Gundam fan-- so I did not realize that it was shown in widescreen. I now love Cartoon Network even more than I already did.

I saw it in San Diego. We had a good crowd, & I had a great time. I think that AS should air the movie after it has been out on DVD awhile. It's too soon to air it now.

Actually, I think they should have it on when they the new schedule change (you know, adding three hours onto each night and maybe airing AS Fridays) which is not only far enough away not to hurt DVD sales, but would also be a good way to promote the extra AS room.

Well, I'm not sure how, but I was able to tape the dvd when I rented it, and a damn good copy at that.

What does the fact that you're a shameless bootlegger, pirate, and criminal have to do with KoHD airing on AS?

If the BS&P lets CN air an R-rated film, then of course they could show it.

I imagine you hooked the DVD player to your VCR via composite cables and played the movie whilst recording it. Unfortunately you were stealing from the artists simultaneously.

I have a DVD + VCR combo unit that can record DVDs on tape with a single push of a button. Of course I haven't used this feature, save for a few times by accident (but it was usually on the tape I use for Adult Swim, so the recordings were taped over soon after).

And I hope they can get work something through with the BS&P to get the movie on the air. It would feel oh so right.

I'd go with Option C, "Diddly Squat".

What day does Halloween fall on this year? They oughta` show it then. By then the DVD won't be selling as rapidly and the movie's supposed to take place on Halloween.

More than likely, this movie could possibly be shown with barely any edits at all, save for a few scenes of violence and deleting the few (and I mean few) utterances of the word "s*it".

Halloween would be a great time to show it. If it happens, it definitely will be in widescreen.
