This ep is a good example of how bad the writing on this show can sometimes be. The look of the model at the start of the ep implied that the villains were attaching/detaching limbs surgically. But in the second half limbs were being switched using some kind of transporter. A completely different means of switching limbs that didn't leave the scars that the first model had. Huh? I also felt let down by the second half. That first model's look hinted that we were in store for some ghoulishly funny dark humor about characters getting their limbs severed. It would've been funny to see that happen to Clover. :D But they wimped out on that. :(
Still this ep has one of my favorite lines from the show. As best as I can remember.
Alex: Miss? Miss? You dropped your....EAR?!? ( faints )

The line about the ear was funny, as was Alex and Sam getting kicked out of the modeling office, and them trying to go back in.
Out of 5 stars, I give "Model Citizens" 3 stars.

Totally Spies is a goofy kids show, so it might have been a little inappropiate to actually surgically remove people's body parts and place them on others. The whole episode "Model Citizens" was a spoof on models getting "work" done, and I think they did okay with what they had.
Now replacing hair and leaving the donor bald, that would have been funny.
Later.

This whole episode ahem,
Clover;Rawked.
I just love these girls! I can't figure which one I like better, Clover's sly charm, Alex ditzy cute humor or Sam ability to look sincere and calm in tight situations.
Spies is by far my favorite new show to CTN's non-Toonami line up in QUITE some time.
I give this episode 3 Ninja Cookies. The whole plastic surgery bit was funny, never seen it addressed in a kid show like that, yet so well hidden

This episode is a little morbid; the taking/switching of limbs would do that. When it was revealed that the bad guys were taking limbs from potential models, the first thing that came into my mind was a saw. As in I pictured they used a saw to detached the limbs. How sick is that?
I only caught 15 minutes of "Model Citizens" yesterday.. Clover really needs to learn how to be modest.
The Fugitives was all right. I guess I only liked it with Mandy and Clover's argument at the end.

Highlights of "The Fugitives" included the scene with all the Spy Clones and the ending.
Out of 5 stars, I give it 3.5.

We don't get so much of an "origin story", but WOOHP stands for "The World Organization Of Human Protection".
Also, Clover doesn't get captured in every episode. Sam sometimes gets captured, and (for the Season Cliffhanger at least) Alex gets captured as well.:D

Here's an idea! Let's have a Totally count! That word is said alot in each ep so let's keep count hehe! http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif
I caught the last 15 minutes of Child's Play.. I don't know why I keep doing that. It was a little comical with Sam acting like a child. And Clover was shown up by Mandy... again.
Here's a question: Was Totally Spies originally created in English? I noticed a "Making of the Show" clip on the French version of the official site and they used the English version while doing the storyboard.

Highlights of "Child's Play" were Sam and to a lesser extent Jerry acting out of character. The ending was funny, too.
Out of 5 stars, I give it 4 stars.

The girls each have their unique way of getting in trouble...
Sam usually gets brainwashed/memory wiped/just plain tricked
If theres a mutating thing in the plot, Clover usually is the one getting mutated/limb switched/etc..
Alex is the only one who just gets plain-old kidnapped.

Almost. Sam usually does get brainwashed as you said, and Clover usually does undergo some kind of mutation (Whether it be changing into an animal, being shrunk down in size, etc.), but Alex usually gets some kind of face transplant (Although, she is also the most likely one to get kidnapped, if any one of the main characters does in an episode.:D)

1. Well, whaddyaknow, who wouldathunk the heroines in "maid-like" outfits? Who would've expected that on something copying anime? I am totally surprised, like totally! :D
2. "Realdoll" -- If you know what I'm talking about, it's something to see. No, I won't post a link. :p
So, Totally Spies got in a couple of major anime cliches in one fell swoop. Now, if they also squeezed in a Licca-chan doll....

Highlights of "Abductions" included Sam and Clover fighting and the chase at the end.
Out of 5 stars, I give it 3.5.

"Silicon Valley Girls" was probably the worst "Totally Spies" I've seen. Only highlight was the court subplot.
Out of 5 stars, I give it 2 stars.

I guess I'm somewhat opposite towards you, Corrado. While "Silicon Valley Girls" isn't my favorite episode, I remember it as the first episode where I really started liking Sam as my favorite character on the show. Red hair, green eyes... And a nerd to boot!:D

Tucsoncoyote here
ah now I feel a bit more comfortable and in going backwards of Time of Totally Spies Eps, I will be choosing what I call "My Pick of the Week"
and for Week 2, this one was too close to call.. but yet it was perhaps the easiest to choose...
Why Did Child's Play for Me get the nod? well it's on a Number or Reasons.
First off, Model Cityzens Writing I have to agree is perhaps the worse. No real concise plot except the REASON why Tuesday Tate was doing what she was doing (She was doing it to TWEAK the Fashion Industry!)
but over all she could have like Clover said, "Cloned herself a New leg!"
so I really had to say this was not really a good ep...
The rest of the eps in my book were (really Tame ) by Comparison. with One Exception...
Child's Play....
What made my Pick of the Week work? It's easy.. When you take a Deranged Toy maker and Put him in a cheesy Polyester Disco suit from the 1970's and then throw in his genius to turn adult minds into Kiddie mush, what do you get? (Ummm a Cartonn Network Exec? (Just Kidding!))
but seriously for the laugh factor, Child's Play was the shoe-in, as the writing was funny and we are shown that sure enough, the smart ones can act very child like...Kozyrev (the Villain sure enough Looked Cheesy, but what was funnier is seeing the girls dress up as Living Dolls!) it was really a FUN ep, full of a Lot of GIGGLING and childishness..)
over all I give Childs play at least 1 star for the Polyester and 2 for idea.. plus a Half a Star for what I call "The fun writing factor.. so 3.5 out of 5..
