I heard theres gonna be a "Kids Next Door" weekend on some promo, but i have no idea what its about, anyone know what its about? It better not be CN shoving the damn show down our throat's again... (The show's OK, but they air it way to often for 13 episodes)

From what I heard, and I hope I'm wrong, it's supposed to be an entire weekend of the show. Pretty damn stupid, given that there is only 13 episodes.

wtf?...? I could understand a Dexter of Courage weekend, (which would both still suck, and I love those shows)... but Kids Next Door? Cartoon Network's just lookin for ratings :/. Anyways, do you know what time and date it starts and what time and date it ends?

August 8-10.
That must be the special event that Matt Wilson listed in the Upcoming Premieres Thread.

Well I heard that KND would have it's own 2 day marathon weekend (Since it's the highest rated CCF show. Look at the may chart. 3 of the spots were KND, which was more then anything else except Futurama) so they're cashing in by having a marathon, even though it's stupid to have a weekend marathon for a 13 EPISODE SERIES. Maybe they'll realize how stupid it is and cancel it, or maybe it won't be just KND, and they'll just be the hosts or something.

KND is the most annoying Cartoon Cartoon since te Powerpuff Girls. Someone need to take this show and shoot it right in the back.

It's just Cartoon Cartoon Weekend with KND bumpers. Not an entire marathon of KND.

Full day (Or multi-day) marathons are completally retarted, we might want to watch something else on the station besides 1 show. It doesnt matter what show it is, the whole concept is moronic.

Hah, so it's like what I secondly said (you know, about the KND being hosts) except it will probably be little segments of them doing hosting stuff and little skits between the CCF Weekend. Hey, are there going to be any new shorts during the CCF Weekend? You know, like how there are usually around 8-10 new 7 minute segments that could be pilots for new shows? (like last summer with the Low Brow pilot becoming a show)

I remember those CCF weekends. They used to show random segments not individual episodes. I wonder if that'll be the format this year.

Are there any pilots this year?

Thank you Matt! You'd think the CN people know better than to make a 3 day marathon of a 13-ep show? Well they do now!
Nerdy fact of the day:
If they did have a 3-day KND marathon, they'd run through the series 11 times. That's almost as bad as that Iron Giant marathon (IMO one of the worst specials CN has done is a very long time)... :\

Not half as bad as when they had a PPG movie marathon back in May (Don't hold me exactly to the day)

According to the press release, the marathon lasts 54 hours, and starts Friday at 8:00 P.M. That means Adult Swim won't air on Sunday August 10.

Uh, the marathon ends on Sunday at 10 pm. Adult Swim will air.

The special event will feature such Cartoon Network originals as Codename: Kids Next Door, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Ed, Edd n Eddy, each airing in its own one-hour bloc. The weekend will be wrapped around an "adult plot to take over Cartoon Network programming," which can only be stopped if viewers watch the special and collect clues dropped in by the Kids Next Door team. If viewers collect enough clues they will be able to log onto the Cartoon Network website and complete an online game that will allow them to defeat the adult plot. Viewers who complete the mission will receive an honorary Codename: Kids Next Door membership.
Sigh. Cartoon Network is becoming more like Nickelodeon everyday :(

Unless my math is wrong, 54 hours would mean that the end of Cartoon Cartoon Weekend would be 2:00 A.M.
So the press release is wrong, then.

Nope won't it be 1 AM if CCF starts at 7PM?

I have no idea what Cartoon Network would put at 7:00 P.M.

I fail to see how this year's CCWeekend is any different from past weekends, aside from the lack of pilots. I don't see how it's becoming "more and more like Nickelodeon" simply because they're doing something THEY DO EVERY YEAR.
It's funny though. Adults ARE plotting to take over Cartoon Network programming... the programming between 2 am and 5 am, anyway.

I can see you're point with that, but this could actually be quite entertaining. What if that Adult plot involved two words and rhymed with Jim? I think you know what I'm talking about. Then again, I doubt that would happen, but who can know for sure?

I'm not liking this whole "Kids rule, adults suck" vibe I'm getting from this KND thing. Seems like something Nick would do.

Uh, have you seen KND? That's all the show is about. If they're basing a weekend off of KND, it seems appropriate to follow the universe of the show.

I know. I don't think they should be basing a weekend off the show. I don't think they should be showing that show at all, but they were kind of forced to once it won the Big Pick, so I guess they just decided to make the best of it.
Weren't they expecting Kitty Bobo to win the Big Pick that year? I thought I had heard that somewhere.
