On a scale of 1-10, it'd be a 0.
(Cartoon Planet reference there if anyone caught it).

The animation sucks badly from the original Dexter, mostly because of Samurai Jack(no offense).

There's already a topic asking people for their opinions on the new Dexter (look a few posts down).

yeah but thats only to comparison of the 1/2 and 3/4 seasons, not saying how good they are, just saying which ones are better...
and oh yeah, i gave the new Dexters a 9 ^_^, I dunno why, despite the crappy animation on season 3, I love the show, its my 3rd favorite show

I would give it a 7/10. The animation is fine (it improved a lot in Season 4) and there were some great episodes, and some very bad ones ("A Monkey Cartoon", "Sore Eyes") so that lowers the score by a lot.

yeah sore eyes made me cry because it was so bad... and I was looking forward to that episode!
1/10
God, such awful stuff... Pure crap... Can they come up with a better title for episodes?
A Mom Cartoon
A Dad Cartoon
A Mom & Dad Cartoon
A Mandark Cartoon
A Monkey Cartoon
Go, Dexter Family, Go!
They completly ruined that song... the Dexter family one.

Its get a 1 because I liked the Mom and Dad shorts. Those are the only times that they stayed in character and brought us the same hilarious moments we missed from the old Dexter. Otherwise it gets a 0.

I could understand why people would hate Season 3, but what I dont understand is the problem with Season 4, the animation greatly improved, the stories are more like the old ones, they are now 7/7/7 minutes instead of 9/4/9 minutes long, anyways, there are some pretty good episodes from the seasons... you might like some of these episodes:
Dos Boot
A Silent Cartoon
Used Ink
Sis-tem Error
Bad Cable Manners
Stuffed Animal House
Beau Tie
Head Band
School Girl Crushed
Go Dexter Family Go (I dunno why...)
Where is Peepers? (The anime parody made me automatically love it no matter how bad it was!)
those are just a few, althoug there were REALLY bad episodes, heres a list of some:
Scare Tactics
My Dad vs. Your Dad
A Quackor Cartoon
Poppa Wheelie
A Third Dad Cartoon
Sore Eyes
If Memory Serves
Tele Trauma
A Mandark Cartoon
Would you Like that in the can?
So maybe some of you guys could give season 4 a chance if you havent seen it... and maybe some season 3 episodes :p. Oh yeah, Martin Mull and Fred Willard guest stared in "Lab on the Run", so... um... yeah.

Indeed, I also felt that Season 4 was a VAST improvement on Season 3. I still don't like it as much as the first two seasons, and certain crap from the third season (i.e. Dad's new, crappy character design) is retained, but there are still a few gems in there, too.
My opinion on the four seasons:
Pretty good. Entertaining to watch, but something about it just didn't give it the same "feel" to it as season 2 did.
The best of the four seasons. Tons of great episodes.
What was this?! I couldn't, and still can't, believe what they managed to do to such a great show to turn it into...this. It wasn't funny, the plots were idiotic, and they made Dexter into a complete idiot. I mean, he's always made dumb mistakes, as everyone does, but they just turned him into a complete blithering moron.
A big improvement on season 3, but still not up to par with the first two seasons.
Wow, I don't think I can bash this show enough. There might be worse shows out there, but they turned something I use to love into trash. The mannerisms... Dexter's voice.. I can't even get past them. The only one who didn't seem to change (um.. in spirit) was Dad.
1/10

Haven't seen any season 4's, but as for season 3....not very good. It has it's moments (the episode where the 3 robots flee from the lab for example) but as a whole their bad. Dexter's new voice can't compare to his old one (which at least appears in some of the season 3 eps), the new art style doesn't fit, the eps aren't as funny and those "Samurai Jacktion" references stuck out too much.

Yeah Dexter's New Voice was a major change, i hated it, i still hate it, but its getting better and I wont let that ruin the entire show for me, although Christine Cavangah and Candi Milo shared Double Duty in Season 3, Christine voiced a few of those episodes, and Candi voiced most of them. I seriousally wonder what Christine thinks of Dexter when she watches the Dexter's Laboratory episodes produced with Candi as Dexter, hmm... or does she even watch them?
Although, Season 5 (It might not happen though, they are still thinking if they should renew the show or not) would probably have even better changes, since the people realised there mistakes from before

What did happen to Christine Cavanagh? She doesn't do Dexter's voice anymore.
Anybody know?

Christine retired, she wanted to spend time with her family, you cant blame her for that, she left all her other roles, like Chuckie from Rugrats.
