Nearly 17 years of anticipation is over. The ultimate Transformers character has crossed over from the great two-dimensional cartoon universe into the hands of the fans' wildest dreams. Can such a toy live up to our expectations? It is much too early to say, but it sure looks good. The real answer will have to wait for the fans to decide in August.
Facts and Info
*The Mini-con's name is now officially set as "Dead-End" by Hasbro.
*Dead-end has three modes: robot, cannon and satellite.
*The planet mode parts, left hand, chest plates and other parts are made of translucent plastic.
*The Star Saber may be inserted into his back to activate his chest cannon.
*There are cannons on his lower legs that fire when a Mini-con is attached.
*The figure has several Mini-Con compartments and traps in the stomach and legs.
*There are a total of 24 power pegs around the ring in his planet mode.
*The figure also has several Mini-con powerlink ports in his robot mode *that activate hidden compartments, weapons and other features that brings the total Unicron can carry at once to 27 Mini-cons.
*There are multiple power pegs on the robot figure.
*The figure is 16 inches high in robot mode.
*The figure is 12 inches wide in planet mode.
*Both hands have individually articulated fingers.
*One of his hands can grab Mini-cons.
*Unicron's eye's light up when a mini-con is placed in his hand.
*The Figure is slated for an August 2003 release date.
*The manufacturers suggested retail price will be $49.99.
