First of all, let me go nuts because this is my 500th post.
Secondly comes my query. How many languages do you know? (If this has been done before, sue me, because I didn't know.) I know English, Spanish, and bits and pieces of Japanese.

English, Chinese (Cantonese), and a little bit of French. Oh, and Pig Latin.
I wonder if anybody is going to be like "Since I know Spanish, I know Italian too" :p

English, French, and a bit of Japanese. I used to be quite handy with Czech, but now I only know a few common courtesy phrases and some random commands.

Hmmmm...I wonder...If I know Latin, that must mean I know all the Romance languages! :p
Anyway, I know fluent English and Latin, which probably doesn't count since it is as dead as dead can be.

English mainly, and a fair bit of French, enough that I can understand it when it's written. I also know the occasional word in Italian and Japanese.

I think Nightflower nailed exactly what I was gonna say - aside from that Chinese bit. I have no hope with any asian languages at this time. I'm still trying to grapple with french and spanish so I can officially be trilingual. :p

I"m fluent in English only right now. I was taking Latin in high school but now that I'm out, I feel it slipping into the recesses of my mind.
Anyway, I know fluent English and Latin, which probably doesn't count since it is as dead as dead can be.
I don't think it's quite dead yet. Latin vivat!!

And I went through 2 years of highschool Spanish, does that count? Of course, if somebody asked me any question other then "Son hora es?" I wouldn't be able to respond.

Latin. Yeah, that extinct language where 65% of our words come from. Cool.
