My boy was born on at 1:15 a.m. on the 12th. Barely missed being the 11th, for which I am grateful. He was 6 pound 3 ounces, 19.5 inches long. He and mom are doing great, and so is dad.
It's been hectic, but is definitely worth it. I knew it would be hard, I just didn't know how proud I would be of him. So it's all good. I've been meaning to post the news on the board, but was having problems getting on, and didn't have much spare time to fix the problem.
It made the Attack much more freaky. We went into the hospital right after it happened and didn't have much time to think about it that whole day or the days after that. We thought all day he'd share his birthday with that day.
Still, in light of that, I am more uplifted about my boy being a sign of hope, than I am worried about bringing him into this kind of world.

Is that anyway to treat a new father? ;)
CONGRATULATIONS! Glad to hear your child got a day off from the attack, and I'm sure by the time he's grown up we won't have to worry about an attack for a while...

Thanks guys! I appreciate your kind words.
Lemme answer a couple questions. How does it feel to be a father? I can't explain it. It's so great. People said it would be great, but I had no idea. I've been telling people to go hug their mom and dad. Not because of all the work it is to have a kid, but just cause I know now how much your folks love you. Go hug your parents!
Name? Drexel Royce. We wanted something different and the middle name is my dad's name and my middle name.

"Officially old?" Naaaah. When he graduates from highschool. THEN you're old.
Thanks for sharing this great news with us Croc. You're a great guy and I'm sure you'll be a fine father.

Whew! Sorry I'm late, I didn't see the thread! But I knew there had to be a post about your blessed event somewhere, Croc! I'm glad I kept looking so I could get my chance to say CONGRATULATIONS!
Drexel Royce is a really cool name. Heh, ya know my family has the same consistency with "Joseph" as yours does with "Royce", it being your middle name as well as in the names of other family members. You can find Joseph a lot in my family.
And I don't see how this could be anything but a wonderful blessed event, also, because I know for a fact he'll be a strong factor in the parts of the world who want to improve it, and make it better for everyone, as so many wonderful people are already doing. What wonderful news! :)
