It's a Mac font. I might have it on my Mac, but my Mac isn't hooked up to the internet, so I can't upload my copy of it.

Well, if you're on a PC,

Arial will suffice just fine (bold Arial Narrow looks like it, see: [adult swim]).

But I won't get into the whole sordid (http://ms-studio.com/articles.html) history (http://www.kelake.org/archives/typography/000386.html) of Arial.

I'm normally not one to resusciate threads a few pages down, but this is worth noting:

In that promo, "Lucida Handwriting" is improperly referred to as "Lucinda Handwriting." Also, believe it or not, serif fonts are actually easier to read in blocks of text (on a printed page, at least, interlaced low-res TV screens are a different matter). Since AS promos are almost all title based cards, though, it is better suited to a good title font, which is Helvetica Neue, which is slightly different than your run of the mill Helvetica (slightly narrower, and it has different punctuation).

Adobe's moving away from PostScript type 1 fonts as well - everything will be in OpenType in a few years. No more of the nightmare of multiplatform Type 1 fonts, and OpenType's glyph support finally brings PostScript into the Unicode age.

Fonts are expensive as well - note that the Adobe Font Folio of about 10K fonts costs about $9,999 (for a ten seat and two printer license)! I have 3K fonts on both my PowerBook and my PC, and the licensing fees are outrageous. It's almost criminal, but hey. Cost of doing business.

Just some font info for y'all. :)

Basically, they just ran through all the fonts that come with Mac OS X in their fonts promo:

http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/font.html

If you wanted to buy Adobe's fonts seperately, it would be awfully expensive; my advice would be to see if it comes with something. Every Adobe product bundles lots of their fonts; even the free Acrobat Reader comes with about a dozen. Alternately, it's much cheaper to buy Mac OS X than the fonts if you have a Mac that can run it.
