Why does Brak hang around Zorak? And Why does Zorak hang around Brak? What does Brak see in Zorak? And What does Zorak see in Brak?
This, I don't know myself... I ask myself this a lot and it's...well, driving me crazy!
Now, I do believe I know why Zorak hangs around Brak... It's because of Brak's mom and that he has a crush on her (Some friend he is! It's down right discusting!)....and that he uses Brak... I think! But is that the REAL reason why he hangs around him! I mean, c'mon! Zorak always visits him and look at the way he treats him! It's aweful! Ugh!

I like "The New Brak" episode where Brak talks about geting married... and guess who to? Well, to put it this way, Zorak was screaming at him! Oh, and I do love the part where the new Brak immitates Brak and has a fake Zorak on his stage...when he said to the fake Zorak, "I love you Zorak!" And he made the fake Zorak say, "I love you, too, Brak!" Hehehe, i love it when Zorak called and said that he was going to beat his butt! *laughs insanely* Sorry... But it's SOOO FUNNY!!! Oh, and I like "Gimme a Brak(?)" where Zorak comes back and asks for his lunch and how Brak goes all sarcastic and emotional like! "I love you, Zorak!" He cries... and All Zorak could say was "Get away from me!" HAHAHAHA!!! They're TOO weird! That's WHY I love them!!

If you look at a lot of TV shows you start to wonder why people hang out with each other. I mean, why do Kyle and Cartman hang out on South Park if they hate each other?

cause they are both friends of kenny and stans. so they deal with eachother (and eventualy cartman just goes home). plus don't we all have a cartman like freind who we do nothing but make fun of?
plus zorak is friends with brak because a) he can pimp him for money ocasionally, and b) he likes to make fun of him. and brak doesn't know any better so he stays friends with him.
horray for logic!

I think for some reason Zorak actually likes Brak but would never admitt it. Probably because he can easily take advantage of Brak and do things to him for his own amusement. And by like I mean "I won't kill you and I'll hang around with you like" not "I'll be nice to you and never break you're stuff" like.
If you look at a lot of TV shows you start to wonder why people hang out with each other. I mean, why do Kyle and Cartman hang out on South Park if they hate each other?
The closest reason I can think of was in "Damien" when Pip said that everyone you to hate Cartman and pick on him until he picked on Pip. And became cool enough to hang with Kyle and Stan or something like that.
I think for some reason Zorak actually likes Brak but would never admitt it. Probably because he can easily take advantage of Brak and do things to him for his own amusement. And by like I mean "I won't kill you and I'll hang around with you like" not "I'll be nice to you and never break you're stuff" like.
Yeah, I think that, too! I think deep down he really likes Brak...and he won't admitt it! Even when others say he does...he gets all mad like...even to Brak!
I wish I could find the script to "The New Brak" episode!

Also in "Fued" dad was worried he would die as a virgin. Now, how could he die a virgin if he has two children? And in "Brakstreet" Zorak did say he was 40 years old, not like the teenage Brak.

To me...if my friend and mother were...you know...*ahem!* I'd be pretty MAD! So mad infact, I would NEVER want to ever see them, hear them, hear from them, or have them ever mentioned to me EVER AGAIN!
Hmm... This brings in a new thought... How do you think Brak turned evil? Could it be that he finally realizes his mom and his friend's doings? Or could it be Zorak's influence? Maybe, just maybe, he snaped...just like that and became a villain! Sometimes, I think that Brak has a split personality! I mean, he's good one minute then bad the next, then good again! Heck, he doesn't even remember how he turned evil or good or anything... Like he said; "I just woke up!" Hmmm... Maybe there's a monster behind his innocents? He could be very evil and not know it! I seriously do think he has an evil, cruel side and good, stupid side! (Goku's good...and he acts stupid! The kais and all said that he is innocent and pure... I've seen Brak act as toughas he can, very SASSY, and when he's with his friends or when he's being nice...he's dumb... Like Goku!) Of course...that's just me!

I think it's because no one else will hang out with them, so they have no other choices than to be around the person they hate or spend the rest of their lives in a state of dark, depressing loneliness.
Or it could just be because it's a TV show and it's funnier that way.

Well there are some theories I have for that.
A. He was influenced to be evil by Zorak over time. Remember in "Runaway" how he was excited about the plan to break statues at first with Moltar and Zorak until he thought better of it. I think that Zorak's infulence is slowly driving Brak away from the carefree character we all know him for and into a darker enity from the original Space Ghost show.
B. In Cartoon Planet (A song and skit show staring Brak Zorak and Space Ghost), one of the questions was how Brak got stupid. Apparently, it was because he fell into this space vortex and when he got out, became as dumb as a doornail. Perhaps said Vortex was the one who made him evil to start with, and then going into it again changed him back into being stupid.
C. Something happens in the future that makes him evil. The only basis on that is from Space Ghost's dialogue on Brak in "Runaway."
There are probably other reasons, these just seem most logical.

You're thinking of the episode "Pepper". Poppy is Brak's disembodied grandfather.
And Brak most likely became evil due to the influence of Zorak and Moltar.

The "Runaway" episode was misleading. Space Ghost probably was confused with his Past/Future/Past terms. The fact that Brak and Sisto committed the crimes means that it happened in the past (remember, Sisto becomes the dinner in "Pepper"). That, and the Cartoon Planet ep mentioned above. I think Brak was fathered by his own kind, since he looks nothing like Dad. The Zorak line about (maybe) being Brak's dad was probably more of a jab at Brak than a revelation.
Also, Zorak had the creepy villian accent before, but he lost it after being on Earth for so long.
Or maybe they all flew into a swarm of Piranhamites and forgot that they all knew each other (but Space Ghost got some of his memory back).
Or it could be that it makes for better comedy. :brak:

The episode with Space Ghost and Moltar is called Runaway
The one where Zorak dates an alien is Pepper
The one where Brak gets a nose is called Poppy

Yeah, you're right! Who really needs to think about such things? Things like this are sometimes misunderstood or just plain hard to understand! I would like to say "case close", but we still can wonder, can we? Hey, it makes great fanfiction!
