From Evan Dorkin's blog:
"This is also old news for anyone who follows Sarah's blog, but for those who haven't heard (read), the Cartoon Network is releasing a Space Ghost Coast to Coast DVD this fall. Two of our early episodes will be included in the package, and last Thursday we recorded a commentary track for one of them, "Girlie Show", which featured Fran Drescher, Alice Cooper and Carol Channing as guests. I don't think we said anything really funny, but the recording was a lot of fun. I think I made fun of "The Nanny". What a cutting-edge guy I am.
Speaking of the Cartoon Network, the big news here at the HOF is that we've signed a deal to develop another pilot for the Adult Swim block. I can't discuss any of the details, but we'll be starting work on the bible as soon as we wrap up our current job. If anything happens beyond that, we'll certainly let you folks know."

I'm betting this one becomes a series.

Ah, cool. If "Girlie Show" is getting a commentary, that means that it won't be the 1-season deal everyone was hoping against. Good news.

Well it's still mainly the first season but now with two extra episodes (both of which I assume are from Season Two). That may mean that on later DVD releases they'll put more episodes onto the Season Set but that's not definite for now. I already heard about this news bit but the new series they're developing intruges me. I wonder if it will be another total original series (like Aqua Teen Hunger Force) or using old characters and sceneary with new dialogue and plots (Like Sealab 2021).

Well, just because "Girlie Show" is on the DVD doesn't mean the DVD stops there. Unless of course I missed some news...
Oh, and for the pilot, I forgot to mention...it sounds great. Dorkin's track record seems great so far, so him doing anything for AS = Good.

I dunno. It seems like ASC gets more pilots then series unless it's WS made. Here's to hope though!

I am extremely pleased to hear the new deal about the pilot, though if it does become a series, I hope they dont forget about Space Ghost.

When they say two early episodes will be included, are they referring to the episodes that were never aired on television? You can find transcripts of them on Brak's Scrapbook.

No, they're referring to episodes which are early, but not quite as early as season 1 (season 2, etc.).

Lot of misreading in this thread.
They said two of THEIR EARLY EPISODES. Which means "of all the episodes Evan and Sarah wrote, two of the episodes on the DVD are theirs, and happen to be from the first era of the show." Not "the Space Ghost DVD has two extra episodes" or "the Space Ghost DVD has seasons 1 and 2" or "the Space Ghost DVD has never-before-seen episodes".
