The constant (yet funny until the end) raccoon attacks, the weird person who wanted the news, and the FBI at the Griffin's house were the highlights for me. Another good episode...not classic, but good.

Just a couple of good ole boys never meanin no harm. They even had the balladeer. And remember folks only you can prevent raccoon maulings. Didn't recognized the title as a play on To Live and Die in LA a movie starring William Peterson.

Very good episode. From the creepy old guy to the Civil War "reenactment," to everything in between, it was chock full of hilarious stuff.
"I feel so deliciously white trash. Mommy, I want a mullet!"
The Helter Skelter reference was great, too. "I've got blisters on my fingers!"
The constant (yet funny until the end) squirrel attacks, the weird person who wanted the news, and the FBI at the Griffin's house were the highlights for me. Another good episode...not classic, but good.
Yeah, those all had me rolling. Well, not literally, but I probably would have been if I wasn't laying in bed.
One of the highlights for me was the flashback where Peter is trying to get a job.

I loved this episode.
I can relate to it, when me & my family moved from Boxton to here in Georgia, that is what I sometimes thought Georgia & the south would be like. :p

I loooooooved the constant running gag with Peter and the raccoon. Normally on other shows, this would get old quick, but Family Guy managed to keep its spirit with it coming out of random places you wouldn't expect.

The South Shall Be Made Fun of Again, in the Family Guy Episode Review of "To Love and Die in Dixie"
For once, I'm not going to do a long review. A very good and funny episode that makes un of the south very nicley. Nice plots with Chris meeting that guy (girl) Stewie playing the Banjo, Peter and Chris as the sheriffs (including driving around in the car and Peter being attacked by the Raccoon) and Meg being popular for once in the south. I give this episode a deep fried A+.

Very funny episode.since I live in south especially Georgia.
liked when peter went to the bathroom and brian told him it was a outhouse outside and when he went in forgot what knocked it over and it fell over.had me laughing.and chris and the girl .stewie with the banjo playing at that hodown.and brian and peter as sheriffs and when the burglar from the start of the episode found out they lived in the south
peter called the police and was speaking to himself on two phone was pretty funny.was the car peter and brian in a refernce to dukes of howzer or however you spell it with the rebel flag on top of the car?
the racoon gag was funny too but kinda got old after awhile.
I give it a A

VERY VERY funny. I almost choked on laughter :) It was esp. funny because i live in the deep south, in Louisiana. My family moved here from Great Britain, so yeah, we expected rednecks and stuff.
lol, the gag about meg being sexy in the deep south (i hope her brother's not doing her already); the constant raccoon jokes...it was just full of funny.

I liked the part where Peter welded the car doors shut and jumped in (Is suprised he didn't get stuck) and Brian tried to jump in and hits the window then lies there limp and Peter was like "Brian.. uh Brian, you ok? oh Christ."

Didn't recognized the title as a play on To Live and Die in LA a movie starring William Peterson.
Actually, the title is a play on the lyric in the song "Dixie": "something something something make my stand to live and die in Dixie."
This was the first time I saw this one.
When I saw the car painted up like the General Lee, I figured it was a matter of seconds before a "Dukes of Hazzard" parody. It turned out to be a matter of minutes, but it was still good.
I also kind of figured (after a short while) that Sam was really Samantha.
I really loved the raccoon attacks. I laughed myself stupid when it came out of the gun. I also loved this little girl's line to Meg: "My daughter would love you."
And Peter's call to himself was great.
Only gripe: that stupid, unnecessary bit with the horny old man (was that a man or woman? I wasn't sure.)
Grade: A-

The Glue of the Regular Kind and the emotional kind in the Family Guy Episode Review of "Stuck Together, Torn Apart."
Yes that's right I'm back to long reviews (after the one day break). This Good Episode starts at the Cost Mart where the guy got a 12 pack of Watermelon, Stewie jumping on the bed and knocking his head into its shape it is now, Peter going into the free samples under diffrent disguises, or did he? Lois meeting Ross Fishman and Meg having a Piano on her (nice appearence of Brian Gallagher by the way) Stewie eating glue again ("Oh for god sakes don't be such a nerd" and by the way the eating glue again was when he ate it in "Fore Father) them selling Human Kidneys ("Yeah but you have to buy a cooler too so that's how they get you) Brian having picutres of Stewie in Lois's wedding breasts, Peter not being understanding to other men at the movies and then trying to punch out Hugh Grant who was on the movie screen then punching out the singer on the stage then punching out his own reflection) Stewie saying Brian likes cleaning up his Tooti, The Beach cop pardoy with Higgins being slapped and called Tattoo, Peter's response to Lois leaving ("Yeah I'll get it in a minute") Chris pretending to be Lois, Joey Quagmire Cleveland in the Police Survillence Van, Peter joking about quitting drinking, Cleveland's fantasy, Peter sneaking up in the van and looking through the window, and the Audio Device that heard the guy talking about one of the waiters spitting in his eggs, the waiters bragging about spitting in his eggs, the sewer people striking back at the Overworld, going to far with the power and hearing Quagmire's thoughts, Peter getting his address book with all the cool special affects and lighting techniques, going to that first woman's house who turns out to be a fat married women who dosen't even know she's pregnent (not really funny) then meeting up with Peppermint Patty again (along with her "life partner" Marcie. "Who is it Sir?" I wonder if this should be added to the General Animation's Board thread of best liked Gay Characters) and the Prom Date Peter had who had a 25 year old obession on him (not that funny as well) and Stewie and Brian being pulled over next to the two cops who also had problems with the super strong adhesive. Part two was funny as well, with Peter keep looking at the door ("Meg, you're so cute with you're drugs") Peter hiring that prositute and Brian and Stewie trying to talk to the prositute, Peter talking to Lois (The 5th amendent quote and then falling into the bookcase) the Marrige Consuleor suggesting the house with everyone reading MEg's diary, Chris and Peter's volcano dance, Peter having Lois open the bee jar, The Marrige Consuleor inviting Howie Mandall to blow up a surgical glove with his nose, Pac Man splitting up with Ms. Pac Man and the ghosts trying to cheer him up ("Let's go the Cubert's) Peter going to Clevelands and him keep being hit by Loretta, and then moving to Mort's house and their daily acitivties, Quagmire walking up and wanting to date Lois and breaking the clock to speed up time and then celebrating about Lois asking to date, Brian and Stewie at the Pool and then getting the Solvet, Peter hearing about Mort's date, and then him setting her up with Jennifer Love Hewiett and not being excited about it (and then the flashback to where he broke the disco ball. "Damn Mexicans and their glass candy). Stewie and Brian saving that girl (funny scenes included the guy with long arms tickling the midget, Stewie musing about this being one of those times he should have been in Stem Cell research, the Silence of The Lambs refrence, them being free but still wanting to hold hands, and rescuing the kid and the mother realizing it isn't hers, throwing her back in the well and the midget ((who'se her wife)) jumping in the well and the long hand guy coming up and tickling him). Then the final dinner scene (Funny scenes: Peter turning JLH on with his gross behavior and his not knowing anything about her, Quagmire putting himself in Lois's breast seeing Peter, Lois getting Jealous and punching out JLH, and the end where both Peter and Lois stated they'd get over they're Jealous problems later and punched out the male and female waiters, and Quagmire ordering JLH a drink at the bar). A pretty good episode dealing with Peter and Lois's relationship, which is pretty much the last time in the series that that happens. (Besides of course when they were at the Kiss concert in "European Road Show). A

A Theather Couple and a Naked Couple in the Family Guy episode review of "From Method to Maddness".
A pretty good episode of FG. Highlights included: At the Quaghog community playhouse where Brain's friend Mark gave his one man show and his impressions of his neighbor's and family which all sounded the same and they were the same sounding voice, Brian's best acting being lying to Mark about how "good" his show is, Peter promsing to give his two fisherman helper's dortorio and then giving them to the guy Peter saved (as well as them talking about being on "Millionaire"), Peter not wanting Lois to be rusty and to cook even though she dosen't have to, Brian giving his monologue to Peter and his constant interruptions, the Griffins going into the neighbor's and them being nudists, Chris constantly repeating Boobie and then the MIB mindwiper rippoff scene, Stewie wanting Brain to succeed so he can throw his sexy parties, Brian's monologue being rejected so easily and Stewie coming to defend him and then Stewie being hired and holding another Sexy party, Stewie's solo exercise doing the life cycle and Olivia calling Stewie the weakest link and his response to it. ("Ha ha ha! Oh gosh that's funny! That's really funny! Do you write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. You are the weakest link goodbye. You know, I've, I've never heard anyone make that joke before. Hmm. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference, reference that outside the program before. Because that's what she says on the show right? Isn't it? You are the weakest link goodbye. And, and yet you've taken that and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. God what a clever, smart girl you must be, to come up with a joke like that all by yourself. That's so fresh too. Any, any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me too as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity. God you're so funny!"). Meg meeting Jeff the nudist at the mall and him blusing all over and the return of the old guy from the south episode ("Holy Moly it must be my birthday") Stewie playing the French Horn and sounding like he farted, and calling Olivia a total ***** and making faces at her. Then finding out about their problem with working with others (and Stewie needing someone to make him look good), and then the Linda Evens joke ("Linda Evens to aisle nine. Linda Evens to aisle nine,"). Act two was also good. Highlights included: Meg talking to Jeff about what they have in common, Peter spraying himself with the Mace, "getting testes", Peter putting tape on the couch and putting the coasters for Jeff to walk on and making the noise of the taped couch rubbing on his hand ("I think it's eaiser on me because I'm making the sound") the kid who did the mime act, and then Stewie and Olivia's duet, and the teacher slapping himself for doubting them and Stewie slapping him for having bad fashion sense, the mother bringing up wanting to be an actress for no apparent reason, Elroy Jetson and Bam-Bam, Stewie and Olivia trying to compare whos was sharp, Peter saying they totally reemed Meg, Stewie and Olivia complaing to each other, and Peter and Lois getting naked to make Jeff more comfterable and Quagmire coming in asking for a towel, and then ending up fighting each other Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon style, "Fire Island after Labor Day" over, Stewie singing alone ("This is worse then Susical) then making fun of his family (and another Elroy Jetson cameo) and Stewie having the Olivia puppet, and acting crazy in front of his dolls, Olivia stopping by to see how he's doing and Stewie saying he's doing a three episode shot on the Gilmore Girls and the end where Stewie was in the mental ward and Brian bringing in the tuning fork, and Stewie realizing he was flat and being regular again and they leave. A bunch of laughs here, but still not enough of them. B+.

It should be noted that the language standards on the AS forum are slightly more lax than in the rest of Toonzone. I believe the rule of thumb here is that if you can hear it on Adult Swim, you can say it here. That's not the case in the rest of Toonzone.
I don't think you'll have any big problems with the word "ass," though, although it depends on the context. Telling someone to kiss your ass is definitely not cool, but commenting about how you got your ass kicked in tennis the other day is probably all right.

Well, except for one word. You're not allowed to say the word b**** on the Adult Swim Toonzone Board, even though've a lot of AS Characters can say it. I think that's the only dis-example to the rule though.

I think the AS mods are actually OK with the word *****, it's just that the word filter picks it up, so you can't really say it, literally. (Unless you do something asinine like "b!tch")
I don't think you'll have any big problems with the word "ass," though, although it depends on the context. Telling someone to kiss your ass is definitely not cool, but commenting about how you got your ass kicked in tennis the other day is probably all right.
Wait, you're confusing two different matters here. It's not alright on the Toonzone forum to say "kiss my ass", because you're harassing someone, not because you're saying the word ass. I could say anything, even something incoherent, in place of the word "ass" and it wouldn't be socially acceptable.
DianaGohan

Actually I did, and what I meant was you can't say *****. I didn't say it was because you guys allowed it or not, just that you can't say it (due to the filter) when someone else said that you can say anyword that you heard on AS.

you can cheat the censor though. by underlining a letter like ***** or ***** or any other vb tag form. but just for words in the filter that are spoken on AS. cheating the AS forbidden words is a bad thing (and a VERY bad thing on the rest of the TZ forums), and you'll get the big red letters. it sorta sucks that ***** is in the censor, but apparently Harley has a grudge against the word because she can't use it in her home or something, thus our fun gets ruined too.

A Genie, Superhero Mutants and the Adventure of Kid Peter in the Family Guy Episode Review of "Family Guy Viewer Mail #1".
One of the all time great episodes of Futurama, shoving away plot and emotions (Yes Family Guy has that, just not many) for sheer laughs and enjoyment. This review will be split into four sections.
Brian and Stewie's Letter Openings: This was funny mainly because of Stewie playing the laugh track from Dahrma and Greg ("I'm surprised they're anything left in it" "Woah"). A-
No Bones About it: You know, here is where I would usually mention all the jokes from the episodes, but instead I'll just leave it up to the bare essentials. A fairly good short but the weakest of the three. There seemed to be a lot of potential in the beginning with the genie granting the wishes (With finding out what Regis' cohost does in her spare time and getting his own them song) but the potential drained when he wished that all his bones were gone. The story had a few good jokes after that (Catherine Zeta Jones being attracted to disformed men, Peter flushing himself down a sewer and ending up in Hollywood, the Dr wanting to test a bone transplant on humans before Jellyfish) but the ending where the family gave some of their bones for Peter felt very weak. Overall, an average short. B
The SuperGriffins: Now this is more like it. After getting some dangerous Radioactive Toxins poured on them, our favorite Un-Simpsons Animated PrimeTime family become mutants with amazing Superheroic powers. Peter with his shapechanging abilities (Becoming a sandwitch, Britney Spears, a dinosaur and a pair of breasts) Lois with her Superstrength (picking up the fridge and then the car when it was stuck in traffic since a couple was starring up at the sky for no apparent reason) Brian with his Super Speed (traveling around and getting hats from the places he's been and then getting drunk at that bar (("Do you have enough breasts for the class")) Chris's power of fire (Burning up the tree and the school, not to mention one of his friends who insutled him years ago) Stewie's telekensis (picking up the tree from the ground, banging that guy against the wall, shutting Mayor West's lip shut) and Meg's... ability to grow her fingers longer (funny for they're lameness, like when she scratched that guy and he wasn't even bleeding, and only said ouch). Other highlights: The truck driver popping a wheelie and letting the toxins fall off the bottom, Peter and Brian watching Seasame Street and Peter wondering if the count was a real vampire, Mayor West rolling around in toxins and getting lympohnia ("Silly yes... idiotic yes") and can bees think or not and the answering automatically being no. One of the great shorts. A++
Li'l Griffins: This one was funny mainly for it's potrayal of all the younger versions of the adult cast (Lil Peter, Lil Quagmire, Lil Lois, Lil Cleveland, Lil Brian, Lil Joe, Lil Death, Lil Mort, Lil Tom and Diane, and of course Lil Mayor West) and all of their antics. I give this one an A.
Above all, A great episode brought down by a mediocre first short. Average Grade: A-.

the trilogies of interest seem to be series favorites around these parts.
What can I say, I'm a sucker for the gimmick. :D

This is one of the episodes I remember vividly probably because it was only shown last year.
The first short started off well then became disturbing and not particularly funny so I can't give it high marks. Though it did have the behind the scenes with Kelly Ripa scene which was funny since Kelly and Regis actually voiced themselves in this episode. BTW the credits also listed Goldberg (a pro-wrestler), but I have no idea who he played. IMDB also listed Alex Trebek as being in this episode, but I didn't hear him or see him in the credits. Oh and its nice to see Michael Winslow off of welfare. ;)
The 2nd short worked well. The whole short is funny, but I found the scene where Adam West wants to fight fire with fire by gaining superpowers to be the funniest. You see him rolling in toxic waste, then in the next scene he's in the hospital with cancer (instead of superpowers). I'm not sure why but that scene gets me. Probably because even though that's what would be expected IRL, I wasn't expecting it here.
The 3rd short was funny as well. The only thing I remembered from seeing it originally was the ball(s) dropping seen. There short is an obvious take off of the Little Rascals and a funny one at that.
It's really unfortunate that this show was canceled since the jokes were still going strong.

"Oh, Tom, you're so far in the closet you're finding Christmas Presents!"
PRICELESS! But even better...
"Wow! She makes me want my balls to drop! ... Oops, speak of the Devil... wha-oh, make that Devils."
This episode was fantastic. ^.^ I can see why so many people liked it.

I loved the "Li'l Griffins" sketch. It looked like a pilot for "Family Guy Kids". But then again, I liked all of the sketches, so this gets an A++

Wow, I havn't posted over here in awhile. I havn't had much time to watch TV the last few weeks due to finals and end of school projects. But I was able to catch the episodes this week so here I go...
To Love and Die in Dixie
It was ok. The Chris storyline was priceless.

This is one of those "I hate Peter so damn much episodes"... My god he is such a jerk. I hate his character, in this episode what he does to everyone is just horrible. I hated this one - and holy crap that was really Jennifer Love Hewitt

Great Episode. All the Stewie episodes rule so much. I don't think I have ever laughed this much at a Family Guy episode ever.

Well, I won't lie I enjoyed this episode. This episode gives reasons for the insane storylines.. unlike other episodes. Although the concept was ripped from The Simpsons (you know that 3 story episodes format).

Man, I must be the only one who HATED the "Lil' Griffins." It was a cute little bit of Little Rascals parody at first, and a nice bit of satire on all the insipid "baby" cartoons of the world, but it just kept going ON and ON after all the humor value had gone out of it. I realize that its horribleness was part of the point, to show how awful the "baby" cartoons almost invariably are, but it still didn't make for entertaining viewing, at least for me.
But the rest of the episode was pure A+ Family Guy material, so I'll forgive them. I especially loved the one where the Griffins all get superpowers. Good stuff.

If you want to be technical, Hanna-Barbera came up with the three 7 minute stories concept first, back in the days of Yogi Bear and friends. And Seth worked at Hanna-Barbera/Cartoon Network (he calls it Hanna-Barbera) for a few years before going to FOX, so he's had experience writing 7 minute Dexter and Johnny Bravo episodes.

I think he's referring to the "Special Episode" where each segment is three part scenairo. True the Hanna-Barbera shows were the first ones to have actual shows in three segments, but usually all the shows were in three segments, and not usually just one segment. I think he's referring to Treehouse of Horror (Simpsons) or Anthology Of Intrest (Futurama) three mini episodes of show that usually have one episode.

Peter as a sandwich was probably the funniest thing for me for some reason. Eh maybe just the context of the conversation.
