Okay here's the setup. I'm watching my Bebop DVD, (Volume 1) and during the preview for the 3rd Session (The PREVIEW for Honky Tonk Women) I can hear in the background behind Faye's Voice, "Have coffee with me..." and some broken words like "I'd like some tea..." throughout the rest of the preview. I watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles. Anyone else catch this or mention it on the forum already?

Um...well, that's an interesting find, but did you have to make the subject so...spoilery? I mean, if someone who hadn't seen the show were to see this post, the ending might be ruined for them (such as what happened with me  ). Just saying...

uh....there's no spoiler really......it's a background "noise".................yeah that's about it. I don't think that post has ANYTHING to do with the episode's content.

No, he means the thread title, "Spike is dead, Spike is dead, I am the space cowboy."

No, that's not what I meant. I meant your post title.
BTW, hope that was a joke, Travis.

Aw, you fixed it. Danken.

*didn't notice such a thing because he thinks the Beatles sucks* Not flaming or anything just my opinion.

Bah. No comment.

So to be honest, this topic confuses me. What does Faye citing coffee and tea faintly in the background of a preview have to do with the Beatles? (who both kick swolen arse and 0wn j00, by the way)

Yeah, I noticed without even seeing the subtitles, although I couldn't completely understand what she was saying.

I think that after nine runs of Bebop, we can talk about the ending here without warning about spoilers. I know people feel strongly about spoilers. I'm one of them. I've had more than a few things spoiled because of people talking about them like everyone has seen it. However, after so many runs on AS, you should know what you're getting into when you enter a topic about it on this board.

Then why post anything that has the possibility to cause unwarranted debate? There's no need.

I'm inclined to agree, although what happens if Bebop goes off the air for a long period of time? There are many people new to anime. I wasn't even a big fan until about a year ago. What happens on down the road where people can't watch Bebop on TV and haven't been into anime for a long period of time?

That is part of the song called "black coffee", it doesn't have anything to do with the show itself.

I totally agree. You knew the post was going to be about the Beatles, you read all of the posts, you didn't have to post "I don't care because the Beatles suck". Even if you say that isn't flaming, it is.

*nods emphatically* True, true. However, you can't speak sense to someone who doesn't respect the Beatles. So :p

Right, it's just part of the song. If you're curious about the dialoge of that song, it is as follows:

Guy: "Won't you please have some coffee with me?"
Girl: "No" (incidentally, the girl is obviously Japanese, and sounds a lot like Yoko Kanno. Considering this was recorded in NY and she was the only Japanese girl at the studio, that's probably a good bet.)

Guy: "Just some tea or something like that?"
Girl: "No"

Guy: "Oh come on, just this time?"
Girl: "No"

Guy: "Oh come on, just some coffee together?"
Girl: "No"

Guy: "Oh, please, just this once? For me?"
Girl: "No"

Guy: "Oh it'd be so nice to have some coffee together. Please? Oh, come on."
Girl: "No"

This is kind of off-topic, but Fata, won't you please update Sandy Planet for me?

Yes, please.

For the children.

The design is great, and what's there is great, but there really isn't much there, and it takes away from an otherwise great site.
