And not the bad white light!
Volume 1 has sold 400,000 copies so far, surprising not only FOX but the producers themselves.
As a result, volume 2 has more extras than the first. Though there are only five commentaries ("Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington", "Death Lives", "Mr. Saturday Night", "Ready Willing and Disabled", "Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows"), they're UNCENSORED this time. No lame cuts or mutes.
ALSO, the banned episode When You Wish Upon a Weinstein will be on the third disc. AND, the original pilot version of Death Has a Shadow! PLUS, 15 minutes worth of animatics and a series overview.
But the most intriguing news comes from that article which states a direct-to-video feature-length Family Guy movie is being planned!
Considering Cartoon Network is starting to break into the direct-to-video market with the PPG D2DVD "Twas the Fight Before Christmas", I am going to say that (and this is a guess) Cartoon Network may indeed be behind this.
If such were the case, Cartoon Network would fund the actual movie itself, and FOX Home Video would distribute the film. The TV airing would naturally be quickly after (or even before) the release.
Anyway, it's still in talks. But that's far closer to more Family Guy than six months ago when Family Guy had no hope of ever coming back to TV -period-.
