Now presenting tonight's HB:AAL review thread.

DESCRIPTION: The exciting conclusion of "The Case of Crooked Creek." No, wait..."Deadomutt."

There's probably a better one somewhere.

Don't get angry at the ending. Most of the plots to Birdman were written in 2001, before episodes like..... a certain Sealab episode... were conceived.

The ending would indeed seem like a ripoff of a certain Sealab episode, but it was ENTIRELY, COMPLETELY COINCIDENTAL, and unfortunate that the episode took so long to make.

Just making sure people are cool with that. The rest of the episode is pretty good. It was better than part 1. I especially liked the parodies and all the "six month later" segments.

That is all.

That Pope scene was genius was....God, that was too funny. Ofcourse, you can never get enough Mentok.

That was....wow, that was brilliant. The storyline was weak, you never found out what actually happened to Deadomutt..but the dialogue made up for it. Every minute contained a Laugh-Your-Ass-Off joke and it was constantly funny. The end gave a random punch line and was very ATHF-esque. Although the ending reminded me more of the movie 'The Game' than SeaLab 2021.

Just like last week. Unfunny and gay. Way toooo gay. HBAAL is now the "Will & Grace" of Adult Swim.

Go Birdman, it's your birthday... Literally.

Funny episode. Lots of good moments, and more entertaining than the first part.

Wow. Just...wow. That was frellin' excellent. The court case was well done (especially Mentok and the Pope), the 6 months later bits were the highlight here (the reading thing, "if we had wings", the marraige, bah, I can't even remember them all), and the ending...I know Sealab did kind of the same thing (Edit: Now that I read Wilson's post, I have no problem with it, then), but it worked excellently here. Definetely an A+ episode for me...this rivals "Dabba Don" as my favorite.

Positves: Hell, the whole thing
Negatives: Can't think of a big negative here

I thought it was funny but it needed more of the bear. If anyone got a screen cap of the bear holding the picketing sign I would be thankful and would give you one shiney... emoticon...like this one :brak: or if you prefer :brendon: that one. funny episode though. I give it an A

YES! Going into this episode, I was just kinda thinking "More lame plot more lame jokes more 'move faster for more jokes' pacing, blah blah SUCK."

Hot damn, I was impressed. More AOL jokes, more Mentok (seeing him in his chambers - GENIUS,) and all the little touches really paid off. The "6 months later" bits were great, especially the one where Harvey gets the letter, and didn't open it for 6 months...priceless. I kinda wanted Harvey to get a lil' som'n-som'n with his tutor after reading the "Birdhouse," because hey, he's our hero. We have sympathy for him. One complaint - it still moved a little fast, but at a far more steady pace than last week's suck-fest.

YOU WOULDN'T LAST TWO MINUTES IN MY WORLD! A

EDIT: One minor disappointment: I really wanted Lizard Man to say he majored in "Lizard Man" at college. That would have worked so well.

Well, I liked the episode especially the sequences with the judge, but I'm so tired and annoying of these copout and "it was all just a dream" endings. First I saw it on tonight's Futurama and then I saw it here. It loses big points because of it.

Overall grade: B/B+

It's You're Birthday *****!! The Harvey Birdman "Deadomutt Part Two" Episode Review.

I must admitt that I didn't really liked the first part of "Deadomutt" that much. I have to say the second one is an overall improvment, showing how random humor can be shown right (unlike a certain Sealab episode that just aired). First off, great take on why we see the Blue Falcon defending Harvey, because he's a lawyer and that's his job, even though he does a really bad job defending him (on purpose, as a way of Avenging his lost friend Dynomutt in a sense). I liked the scenes where Harvey was calling Reducto (even though it went on a little long by showing Reducto's group) and then leaving so many messages for the Boss, whose getting some action from a one eyed hooker. The best bits were in the courtroom however: Peter Potomus looking around when the butt print evidence was presented, Mentok using his mind powers to predict the case, getting it wrong and changing the results ("I'm never wrong"), Birdman stuck in Jail all those 6 months (Highlight scenes: Showing the Tattoos to Peanut, taking 6 months to read the letter, and letting that moth fly into the light). As for the ending, well I had a feeling it would be a cop out (*cough* Matt Wilson mentioned it *cough*) but it was probably just as funny as Sealab's "Der Dieb" ending, even though there was no Hesh Birthday song. All in all, a great second part to a mediocre first part. A-

Tonight's Birdman was truly the highlight of the night. I'll give it an A-. I think I'll be watching it again in the near future. ;)

I didn't have high hopes for part 2 since part 1 was so-so, but they really hit the mark with this episode. The 6 month scenes were a riot. And any episode with Mentok in it is pretty much guaranteed to be great.

it was better then part 1 but still, birdman stinks and needs to go. good parts were the pope and mentok. bad parts were..all the rest of the episode. http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

Another classic. Highlights included "6 months later", the return of the forensic guy from "Bannon Custody Case", Mentok,

Only flaw was not enough Phil.

I noticed that the director of the episode wasn't credited till the end of the episode. Also, while Deadomutt Part 1 had a 2001 copyright, Deadomutt Part 2 had a 2003 copyright.

Out of 5 stars, I give it 4.5 stars.

Much, much better than part 1. Good thing too, since part 1 really was all set-up and very little actual joke. This one was timed well and the 6 month later thing had me rolling. The return of Lizardman was a nice surprise as well. Mentok rules. Birdman in jail was priceless.

Well it's good to see my reviews have done some good for the people, even if they are insulted at the same time. You know, come to think of it, they said that Birdman was in jail, what, 5 years or something like that right? But there were only about 7 six months later sighns, which means he was really in their for 3 1/2 years. I guess it took a year and a half for the trial to pass by, or that it's just a goof.

This was my favorite harvey birdman attorney at law episode I have ever seen. As stated before, part one was pretty much all set up but thats what made this episode so great, this episode was all punch line which made it the funniest episode I have ever seen. When Harvey Birdman starts crying, I couldnt stop laughing and singing my praise to the writers.

Overall Grade: A+

Since I slammed the first one so much, I have to speak up and say that this is Harvey Birdman I remember. Just hysterical. Once again, the best thing on Adult Swim, and there are a lot of cool things on Adult Swim. Brilliant.

This episode actually reminded me of the Simpsons episode a few years back where they were about to electrocute Homer and we found out it was actually a TV show.

This episode actually reminded me of the Simpsons episode a few years back where they were about to electrocute Homer and we found out it was actually a TV show.

First of "The Frying Game" (The episode you are refering to) aired a year ago (in May 2002) not a few years ago. Secondly That Simpsons episode should remind you of this (not the other way around) since this was made first (in 2001 and was going to be shown in 2001 if CN wasn't so lazy on getting Harvey Birdman episodes out).
