You might be able to watch it over and over, but most other people can't. Even great shows can only be watched repeatedly for a limited time. And there's plenty they can put in place of it, new stuff that will make the block fresh again.

"Cowboy Bebop" is a great show, but it's finally time to take it off Adult Swim and let it rest.

I, myself, could never get tired of Cowboy Bebop. But going into it's ninth run, I have a feeling it's a good idea to take it off and use the space to run something new. (As in, move a show like Reign or Trigun to that time and use the extra space to add another new show) I don't want Cowboy Bebop to be perminently retired, but like the Toonami shows and all of the other Adult Swim animes, it needs to go on hiatus.

Both valid points. Replace spot with regin? I have never watched Regin but it looks so silly. I wouldnt mind Trigun taking its place. Trigun to me is like a wildwest Bebop.

You know, it has been airing endlessly for nearly two years. You could have, I don't know, taped it or something. Then you could watch it over and over at different times of the day. Plus I'm sure you could make the good people at Bandai happy if you picked up the boxset...

Thats not the point. Cowboy Bebop made adult swim what it is. It should play nonstop for the next five years!! Bebop brought new viewers in and still is. I know at least 7 or 8 guys who only watch AS for Bebop and 3 of the guys just started watching recently.

It may have made Adult Swim action what it is, but the original content is what garners the most mainstream attention.

And what I said about buying the DVDs applies to your friends as well.

There are some places that rent out anime. I know that my local Hastings and Blockbuster does so perhaps you should check out there or buy the Perfect Sessions DVD.

Look Bebop is great and all, but really, it needs a break.

Blank tapes cost like , what, $2 each. you oculd have taped it a myriad of times and wathced it at your cheap discression. NEW stuff needs to come in. thne a year fomr now they oculd do this whole "return of Bebop" thing.

Bebop has been on for the longest (two years no doubt); they need to put it on hiatus and let another show run for awhile.

I'm getting tired of watching the show over and over again. I can just watch it on tape.

2 DOLLARS? Where do buy your tapes from for it to cost that much?

Since Bebop has been airing for two years, WS should put it on hiatus and two years later, bring it back again.

Cowboy Bebop is what introduced me to anime. Cowboy Bebop is phenomenal, and easily one of my favorites series of all time. But there comes a point where things just need to go. Being repeated endlessly serves no purpose. I still watch sometimes, and love almost every episode, but just about anyone interested in seeing Bebop has already done so. It's time for it to go out with its dignity intact.

Well, It is a great show but its time to take it off. Adult swim needs a show that will win the competition between television or sleep because sleep is the only competition to a good show on that late.

you had two years to tape it. it needs to take a break and new stuff to come in. I like the show as well but I didnt complain when it was announced it was to be taken off I got over it. just record the remaining episodes on tape before it ends. or like people have said buy the box set.

Even Home Movies was taken off the block for a short time, and that show has actually had new episodes made during the past couple years. It's time to give Bebop a break and let the newer action shows run on their own for awhile.

If you don't have a TV, this begs the question (as mentioned above) how you know of AS, watch Bebop, and found out about this forum.

Please be a gimmick account, really.

Now I'm neither racist nor classist, but going into a board about a topic that involves an appliance that you don't own an accuse us all of being "rich white kids growing up in the suburbs" is a little harsh. I am a tad curious as to how you can't afford a VCR and TV, yet can comfortably afford cable and an Internet connection. I'm even more curious as to how you'd watch the previously mentioned cable when you don't have a television. So either you're lying about being poor to be cool, or you've chosen the wrong hobby. May I recommend reading?

If you can watch it over and over again, get a tape/dvd of Bebop while on AS, new shows can air.

Lying about being poor to be cool... I'd hate to add some humor in this "heated" debated on ethics (and ethnics - white boy from the suburbs), but lying about being poor to be cool sounds like a Milo idea. I can see this Oblongs episode....Milo thinks that if people lie about being rich to be cool, then lying about being poor to be cool is even cooler.

Alrighty, maybe it sounded better in my head.

If you're poor you can rap about it and make a ton of money.

You know, this thread does bring up an interesting point though. Sure, Bebops run through a lot, but how many times has Cartoon Network run crap like Scooby Doo? Maybe what they need to do is expand the block from 10pm-6am and they could just put Bebop in a crap timeslot at like 3am or something.

Usually whne I'm in a hurry , Eckerd or BLockbuster as they're the closest to my house. If I'm in a more thought out mood, I got to my onw job (Best Buy) and buy in Bulk using employee discount

Don't get me wrong, I really LOVED this show, however I don't want it to be the "DBZ" of Adult Swim. (You know, Toonami want to keep DBZ forever, they don't want to remove it from their lineup)

Spike and co. deserve some much needed rest, for pete's sake.

You're probably an upper-middle class Asian kid who lives in a small town and has digital cable. Why would your local rec center let you watch television at 1:30 at night?

Look pal it was a comment either take it or leave it I could really care less. Besides it's my opinion I don't see why it should bother you so much. My point is CB is draging on like DBZ and is getting tired if you don't like the way I put it then fine. I could care less weither it sounds clever to you or not I was trying to make a point and I did.

I wasn't commenting on your opinion. I hate DragonBallZ. I was just commenting on the vacuousness on your term "Drag On Ball". I just thought it was dumb.

Unless you're in your fourties, I'd have to say that "our parents" are probably the original Rock and Roll generation, considering most of them were born in the fifties and sixties. Unless you classify the kind of crap our generation listens to as "Rock and Roll".

No, I'm not forty. I meant rock & roll was the first big manifestation of the "black working class product=cool" trend that started with jazz and now manifests itself with hip-hop.
