i heard such great things about this comic, but i have yet to read it. do any of you read it and whats your opinions on it? Also, does anyone know what issues are in the trade paperback? thanks for the info. peace.

I read it, and its fantastic. Simply one of the best comic series out there, IMO. There will be three trade paperbacks - because the story is broken up into 3 acts. The first collection collects the first act. The individual issues that are coming out are in the second act right now.

thanks clayface. so the series will end after act three?? its up to issue #16 now right? so which issue ends act 1, or which issues #s are included in the tpb?? thanks. peace.

Yep, Rising Stars is a mini-series, not an ongoing title. After Act 3, its over - of course, that doesn't mean that there won't be other storylines or one-shots produced later. I believe that the latest issue is 16, yes. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that each act is 8 issues long, so we would have just finished the second act, and the series will end with issue 24 or 25 (might have a prologue issue in there). So, the paperback should be issues 1-8.

I've also been reading Rising Stars, it's a great series to keep up on. And Clayface's info is correct about the acts and such. Did you also know that J Michale Stracynzky will also be making this into a movie?

Not just one movie, but a trilogy! Each movie will cover one act of the series.
