Penelope Makes a Friend:
The third I think Penelope focused episode and its the cutest yet ^_^
Penelope looked and acted more like she was in love but whatever! It's all good to me. Who was that little Mimi(?) girl that Laura and Kana seemed to know? I don't remember her! Oh well! Good episode!
Reconciliation!:
I always thought the show took place in Japan but from the comments in this episode I guess it doesn't? I can see where Howdy and Dexters rivalry come from now! I'd still like to know where Howdy gets his jokes hehe! Poor silly Oxnard got his hand stuck in that mouth of truth thing while that scarrrrry myna bird was chasing the other group of hams! Another new song cool! They need to release a song soundtrack for this show since there's like six or seven songs so far! Pretty nice episode other then the confusion it leaves as to where the show takes place.

Monday:
Yeah, I was wondering about Mimi too. Poor Penelope. Overall the episode was kind of sappy, but - ooo look, a bunny!
Tuesday:
Ha ha! They're trying to pretend it's not Japan!
They did keep in that the Grocer and her son were from Osaka originally, right down to the traditional southern accent for the dub voice (in Japan, Osaka has the same "country bumpkin" kind of stereotype that the south has in the USA), but they changed what must have been "brought the model of the tower with them when they moved here from Osaka" to "brought the model of the tower with them from Osaka when they moved here from Japan".
That smacks of CardCaptors revisionism, the way they'd cover over cultural things like the food in Sakura's lunch. Though I suppose that's not all that surprising, given that they already changed all the humans' names from whatever they were to western names. Given that they don't want little kids to get confused, I guess it's not unreasonable, though you'd think all the Japanese language signs on the stores and things would be a big tip-off that it's a Japanese cartoon taking place in Japan.
Those humans dressed up as four of the ham-hams at the end were freakish.

Monday: Penelope's Ukuii's were squeekier than normal.... The bunny thing was kinda cute
Tuesday's:
Well, this isn't the first cultural cover-up we've seen, just look at friday's episode(Or the one with the chicken contest, I forget which day it was on) I guess I'm a little flabberghasted at the fact they even mentioned Japan, had this been dubbed by 4-Kids-Entertainment or Nelvana, instead of that tower from Osaka, it would be the Eifelle tower from france(Which would make no sence because that looked nothing like Eifelle) and all the japanese writing would be digitally painted over. It was still kinda stupid of them to say she came from Japan and give her the name "Goldie Huston". This must be a record of howmany references to japanese culture to be left in a dub of a children's show, but I won't be happy until they quit covering it up all together. Over all, however, ShoPro did a good job on this EP.
My two favorite Ham-Hams really took control of this episode, it was nice to see them not fighting over Pashmina for once.

Yeah I notice it too. Now she doesn't sound like she watches too much HBO. Penelope is my favorite Ham Ham.

I agree that the idea of the series trying to pretend that it's not set in Japan is downright stupid.
As for the Ham-Ham costumes, that's nothing compared to this:

Mimi's Dream Park!:
Now I remember Mimi! She was in a S1 Panda eppie! Anyways this was a fun lil episode with the return of the Ham-Ham Fun Park! Near the middle was a great comedy duo with Howdy and Dexter~! I liked how Hamtaro didn't know what a storm was and thought it was a mean guest! The fun park got messed up by the storm so now what? Judging by tommorows ep title this could be a sorta 2 parter! I can't wait!

Yes, that did smell like a part 1. And it's darn hard to keep track of all the ham-ham's owners other than Laura and Kana.
Some of the best lines in Hamtaro come out when they misunderstand something and then go off wildly assuming their guess is accurate, like Hamtaro's whole "storm" thing. Good thing the bad weather scared away the storm. Heh.

Very surprising to see a two-parter on Hamtaro. It's nice to see Panda get a feature episode, since they rarely ever use him. This was a good set of episodes with part one setting up part two.

Yeah, that was pretty much the way I figured it would turn out. A Jingle appearance too, and he had the pig with him this time. That montage with a hamster-sized Mimi riding the rides with Panda was a little creepy though.
Is Mimi the girl that the ham-hams put on that show for? Yeah, I think that was when the baby was being born. Heh, poor Mimi, she's the only one who has any idea what the ham-hams are actually capable of and nobody will believe her.

Zoo Date-
This episode was a tad strange to say the least. I was quite surprised with ShoPro's strange writing here
Laura(or was it Kana?): I wonder if they have black and white pandas, their so cool!
The above line was straight out stupid, joke or not...
Charlette: ... Even the really funny looking ones, isn't that right, Phillip?
She speaks as if she's gone to the Zoo with him before, but earlier in the episode, Philip is proclaiming that this is his first date with her.
Is it just me or is Phil spending a tad too much time with his students?
weren't they at his mom's house a few episodes back?
For some reason I was especially surprised to hear Phil say "Rice Ball" and not have it covered up and be called a donut or something...

Zoo Date-
This episode was a tad strange to say the least. I was quite surprised with ShoPro's strange writing hereTiVo misbehaved today and recorded General Hospital instead of Hamtaro :(
Hopefully I'll be able to catch it on the next time around.

Sunflower Ferris Wheel:
The Ham-Ham Fun Park got a major upgrade! And to prove it was a 2 parter at the beginning Hamtaro brought us up to speed at the start incase you missed the previous ep. Mimi is lucky! I wish a bunch of cutie hamsters would do stuff like that for me. To bad the older kids and adults make her think it was only a dream. It was funny how Hamtaro whipped out corn on a rod to make Jingles pig go faster! Such a nice episode!
Zoo Date:
I missed it cause my mom made me go out to eat and stuff!!! :(
Here ya go. (http://clichesite.com/content.asp?which=tip+2330)

Zoo Date was definitely a strange episode. I don't understand why Charlotte would want to invite Laura and Kana to her and Philip's date? There was some strange dialogue here, and Charlotte's monkey dance was....weird. It's going to be interesting to see where their relationship goes.

Is there anything that woman can't do?
Yes, the monkey dance was pretty damn strange.
Granted, Laura needed to be in the show because she's the main human character of the series, and without her there Hamtaro doesn't have an excuse to be there either, but Yoshi-sensei and Charlotte bringing the girls along on a date is kind of stretching things.
Still, it's really nice to see another Yoshi/Charlotte episode.
