Does the current Lazerbeak have a toy? I just finished reading the latest article at www.x-entertainment.com ( found out about the website from here ), which is about the Decepticon cassette tapes that turn into robots from the oringal show (never knew that the oringal Lazerbeak was a Decepticon, but most of the fans here probably already knew about that. ) The new one doesn't seem to transform into anything, it just folds up.
For that matter, did the oringal mechanical bird of mayhem play any big part in G1 or even talk compared to the new one?
Thanks!

Yes, the Armada Laserbeak does have a toy. It has three modes, Spy Bird, video camera, and stun gun it has electronic sounds and will cost you $15.00. And no the G1 Lazerbeak did not speak.

Where's the "combiner" mini-con toys at?
I have the kids mini-cons, but have yet to find the ones for Star Saber, that shield or the Requiem Blaster. http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

Thanks! Hmm, a stun gun you say...well, even though it would be stupid, having one of the kids try out Lazerbeak's stun gun mode on one of the Decepticons would probably be more of a help then most of what they've done so far :p

The kids did use it on Megatron back in the earlier episodes. It was one where the decepticons took them all or some hostage.

Interesting fact: Armada Lazerbeak was originally going to be red and black like the original Laserbeak, but it's supposedly illegal to make a toy gun black. (Even if it's a "stun gun" that looks absolutely nothing like a real gun, apparently.)
BTW, the name of the original one was spelled with an 's', while the new one is spelled with a 'z'.

I have every Mini-Con set released yet, except for the Dark Saber team. Your store either hasn't gotten them yet or you're not looking for them in the right places.
Maybe someone hid them?

Hmm, you must have a problem with collectors buying the toys. The only advice I can give you is visit those stores when have time and you might get lucky.

Too bad there are no current audio cassette transformers, but that was a different time...
Could you imagine a CD player version of Soundwave and Blaster with CD transformers? That would look ridiculous, a fake CD with cracks and hinges in it, or a thick one that opens up to reveal the robot, which would be really thin either way! ( Would be quite a toy though )
Or maybe, seeing how CD's now have competion in MP3's and those microchip things like Hit Clips, they could make a Hit Clip-like thing for Soundwave and Blaster and big wedges that transform into their "cassette" robots, and seeing how technology has advanced and you can get songs on those microchips, install them into the robots so that they could actually play!
EVEN better, the "cassette" robots could also be minicons that activate all those options on the main robots, and tie into the Armada theme!
OH WELL, a person can dream, right? :p

You think that's bad, you should've seen the Japanese toy that became Blaster. It was a WORKING radio.
