Seeing as theres no official talkback thread yet, I thought i'd start up an unofficial one.
WOWIEWOWOW!
This was an absolutely incredible episode, I'm willing to say it's the best they've done yet! Plot twists galore, Starscream going midieval on Megs with the StarSaber, hooking up with the Autobots, and giving them the keys to the Decipticons front door? MAN!
I was a little suprised that Smokescreen wasn't really quite dead, I thought they made his demise rather final in the last episode. I like how they're maintaining continuity with the spark thing. All he needed was a new body then.
Now I really really can't wait for next weeks episode, and thats the first time I ever said this about this series.

Hm about time someone made a talkback. Guess Matt's still ticked at TF:A from its last week of owning him.
"Starscream you survived. I suppose congratulations are in order."
"Thrust is getting trashed on!
I don't really care!"
LOL
Starscream sure is nice to the Star Saber minicons. Guess he is their rightful owner. And now he's an Autobot just like I predicted :) Though somehow I doubt it will last. He may die next. Love that Smokescreen is back :) though he does look uummmmm different..hehe. Good episode! http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

Smokescreen isn't dead after all. Starscream got a lot of interesting character devlopment, as did Hot Shot as well. Red Alert wasn't as bad as usual, but that isn't saying much. Starscream's interactions with the minicons were interesting, I liked how they played up them having a friendly relationship, different from simply seeing them as tools. Megsy was awesome today as well. Thrust and him were planning on offing Starscream, that's a change from how Armada has been thus far. I'm looking forward to the remaining episodes, though I guess Smokescreen won't be a Unicon.

Now this is what makes me proud to be a Transfan. I give this episode a 10/10.
My favorite parts were Starscream trashing Thrust, Jet Convey cutting off Tidal Wave's Nipple, and Starscream vs Hot Shot Battle.

Great episode. I'm really liking this show lately. I thought Smokescreen was dead, but he's alive. And his new look is cool. And Starscream is an Autobot now? Well, I honestly didn't see that one coming. And Thrust, he really annoys me. I think he should be the next one to get taken down. Honestly, I feel sorry for Red Alert. He's always cooped up in the base, baby-sitting the annoying brats, I mean kids. It's nice when he gets something important to do. Looking forward to the next episode. :)

Well....this ep kinda pissed me off. He lived darn it. Smokescreen was supposed to die, and everything was supposed to be personal, w/ optimus. I don't know. I kinda seems like the writers chickened out. But anyways. I thought thrust was supposed to be a master strategist? He's come off as a bufoon the last few eps. It did like how starscream b***hed him into the wall, and gave him a whooping.
Starscream has a good right to be pissed at megs. He had been a good soldier for so long. Now he overhears that they intended to screw him over.
I know hotshot was in the heat of battle and getting revenge for smokescreen, but did he even notice that tidalwave was shooting at starscream. Oh well. It was an ok ep. It would have been better if they didn't bring back smokescreen. At least not for a few eps.
So, in my opinion it cancels smokescreens "death scene" from being anywhere near dinobots in beast wars. May he rest in peace.
There may or may not have been one name error in the episode: one of the Star Saber Mini-Cons being called Runway (it's the particular one that looks like a Concorde jet). The reason it may or may not have been a mistake is because the box and the intructions swamp names with him and the OTHER jet on the team, but I'm betting he really IS called Runway because he looks more like a "Runway" than a "Jetstorm".
At least they didn't call Tidal Wave "Shockwave" again. :p
I haven't seen this series since it the first four or five episodes. From what I saw yesterday it looks much better then it used to be. However that line about a spark being compared to a heart was stupid. A spark is a Transformer's soul not his heart.

this program is still horrible
Bad enough they made Laserbeak an Autobot but STARSCREAM?!?!?!
terrible dialogue and anti-climactic battles: yawn!
I wince when I look at what has become of the Transformers franchise.
When are we gonna stop w/ this acquired animation garbage and produce our OWN TF series??? TMNT is off the hook, so is Justice League & Samurai Jack. And He-Man has turned out to be a respectable show. But Armada makes me want to retch.

After the big ending from last week's episode with Smokescreen, it was disappointing to see that he wasn't dead. I am glad they did mention his spark, though the kids had to ruin it with their stupid comments.
The only thing I didn't like about the scene at the Decepticon base was no appearance of Wheeljack. He hasn't shown up since he officially joined up with the Decepticons, and that is really bothering me. Other than that, it was great.
Now, things should get interesting with the showdown at the DC base. Regeneration gets a 3/5 stars.

ood ep this weekend. Lots of character development, the kids were underused (always good) the "spark connection" was a good thing too, even if it was kinda deus ex machina.
Starscream defecting brings reminders of Dinobot and Blacharachnia, but this time I get the impression that he's only helping out to get back at megs, he as NO plans of shacking up with the Bots permanently.
I wonder if they're gonna bother renaming Smokescreen2 as Hoist or not, and if not, i whoder if they'll do the same to the toy.
howmuchyouwannabet Just as next week's fight gets real good ol MoonMuncher shows up and ruins stuff!

yeah, Wheeljack was there, he even had a line or two, but wasn't eally focused on
Autobots:
Prime
Redalert
HotShot
Smokescreen2/Hoist
Scavenger
Blurr
Jetfire
SideSwipe
Starscream?
Decepticons:
Megatron
Cyclonus
Demolishor
Thrust
TidalWave
Wheeljack
Sideways?
Without Starscream, the Cons are really short of manpower. it looks less like it once I wrote them donw, but during the ep I kep[t getting the feeling that the Cons were painfully outnumbered, minicons aside

Poor Smokescreen.. what an ugly body they gave him, 'though he seems stronger. Still would have liked for his sacrifice to actually remain a sacrifice, maybe visiting Hot Shot as a ghost once before passing on. Oh well... Starscream's turn was predictable and was it me or did he sound different ? Not to say it was a bad episode, fairly middle ground as far as Armada's concerned. On the bright side, the kids seem to be getting phased out.
Smokescreen isn't dead. BOOOOOOO!!!!!
Other than that, it was a good episode, with Starscream showing a more sensetive side, and Jet Convoy fighting the Macross.

I knew Starscream would defect soon, but when he left the Decept base with the Star Sabre minicons I was expecting to see Swindle somewhere. I thought the two of them were close enough that he would at least call for him before leaving.
Is it just me, or has Starscream received the majority of the character development for this series so far? Not saying that is a bad thing, but considering that there are some bots that haven't done anything (Red Alert), it seems like an uneven distribution.
I like Hot Shot's reaction to Starscream joining them. He was the only Autobot who had some sense in that episode.
And like I said last week after finding out that Smokescreen didn't actually die, the producers suck. Or whoever decided not to off him permanetly. I wanted to see a revenge driven Optimus, dang it!

They actually did something interesting plotwise by having StarScream pull a [Beast Wars] Dinobot. This would be even more significant if they hadn't already done almost the same thing with Scavenger. In fact, other than the shift in manpower, StarScream's defection doesn't really give them the advantage that they claimed it does. It's not like the Autobots didn't already know where the Decepticon base is. Still, considering everybody kept comparing Armada StarScream with G1 StarScream, it's nice to see him do something this radical.
And though it was not the focus, we do have a bit of the "who's got the superweapon" game here, with the Star Sabre going back to the Autobot side, albeit with StarScream instead of Hot Shot or Optimus.
I don't know why Hot Shot wanted to take his revenge on StarScream. It was Megatron who shot SmokeScreen with the Requim Blaster.

I thought Scavenger was only pretending to be a Decepticon?
And I want to know more about the minicons and their various attitudes toward fighting. It seems that the Star Saber cons fight for whoever tells them to.

Swindle was already on him how else could he use his twin laser attack.

what amazes me, is that dinobot must be spinning in his grave, as starscream actually defected.
he defected from the decepticons, something he wouldn't have imagined in gen 1.
i really am surprised starscream could defect.
but then again, an alleged autobot was into betraying his own team.
this actually is finally getting interesting as this has more plot twists with each new episode than some soap operas.
i wouldn't be at all surprised if the decepticons just totally break up just as starscream beats the hay out of optimus for a laugh....

Well, this isn't the same Starscream, remember?

Yes, but they went though all the same stuff with Hot Shot not trusting him right away. The situations aren't the same, but they are similar.
It seems that the Star Saber cons fight for whoever tells them to.
That seems to be true of all the Minicons, except for that one epsiode when Rad convinced Optimus that some of Meg's Minicons wanted to come over to the Autobot side. Note that Megs uses the Requim Blaster all the time, but when the Autobots had it it was a bunch of "we can't use the Requim Blaster, the Minicons don't want to fight" crap. That's the major reason that the Minicons are reduced to a crappy plot device rather than something the audience can give a damn about. In the cartoon, anyway, apparently the comic is better.

By the way, anyone notice how the Star Saber Minicons were clinging to Starscream's leg in the Autobot base as if he were their big brother? :p

that was so cute, one of the few times I laughed at Minicon antics. the way that one minicon flailed his arms in anger at Starscream's decision to leave
