I got a whiff of it watching the previews for Pecola and Sitting Ducks. Did you?

"Ahhh, the scent of it..." (BLEHHH!):deedee: :deedee:
Wait...there were already commercials for Pecola?!
And what the heck is Sitting Ducks?
It wouldn't surprise me at all that CN is trying to start a Nick Jr. type block, considering most little kids are going to want to watch Dora over Cow and Chicken, and that CN was losing ratings with kids back to Nick...

This should help answer that question:

Just saw the Pecola commercial.
I'm...um..I don't know what to say. It looks...interesting.
"Do you know why they call it cube town? Psst....look at their heads!" o.o;
I'll probably grow to love it. It looks weird enough. :p
edit: Thanks for the link too.

Well if their pulling in all of these Japanese "Anime-like" cartoons for their morning line-up they should get the rights to all of Nick Jr.'s old Anime shows like Maya the bee, Noozles, and The Littl' Bits. It might be kind of cool to see them once again...I rather watch them than Cow & Chicken or other failed shows moved to early morning :p

You know, seeing as these two shows are both CGI, I wonder if CN is trying to find the next "Tiny Planets" (a CGI cartoon on Noggin; Noggin is owned by (surprise) Viacom) or something...

I saw the commercials. Cartoon Network has already tried to appeal to the youngest viewers on weekdays, but now it will be done more. While I am normally against CGI and kiddie shows, I can still hope that this stuff defeats "Baby Looney Tunes" once and for all.
Saw the commercial for Sitting Ducks, and it looks pretty good.
MUCH better than Baby Looney Tunes by far.

I think it is good that Cartoon Network is addng more Kid shows. I mean it's not like it has to be programming jut for teens and adults. This doesn't mean it's going to be a "copy" of Nick Jr.
Once they start advertising it as a block, then it's a Nick Jr. spawn.

Didn't CN have some kids shows before called "Small World" and "Katie and Orby"?

Baby Looney Tunes has stopped doing well since its premiere, however CN has been giving it some extra slots (unfortunately). Hopefully this bad practice will stop. I would take the Bugs & Daffy Show back over Baby Looney Tunes any day!

Unfortunately, given that those shows were all Saban productions IIRC, they are probably in the hands of Disney since they got the Saban library along with Fox Family. I know for fact Noozles was a Saban production, and it would surprise if the rest were too. Also, the age of those shows really shows. I've got a Noozles cassette, and though it was pretty nice for 1988, it looks old along side comparable modern fair like Hamtaro, not only in animation quality, but character design wise too.

The reason I find this disappointing is this: Cartoon Network was putting attention towards shows for adults, and now shows for young children, but few shows that people of nearly any age group could like. That is why this "target demographic" stuff gets annoying.
