Well technically, since it's about to air in about twenty minutes and there isn't a thread up yet, I suppose I'll start it. Thread for the Final Time Squad Episode tonight, which makes yet another CN series cancelled before it's time. Anyway, here is the place to go and review till your hearts content.
EDIT: Damn, looks like they're not playing it tonight, instead they're playing a repeat of "Out With The In Crowd/Timeth Sqaud" for some reason. Maybe they're waiting till next week to show it with the New Dexter Laboratory episode.

Um...this is a rerun......
Huh? The episode was a rerun instead? That's odd... Did you get the schedule information from the Cartoon Network site?
*checks CartoonNetwork.com's schedule*
It looks like you won't see it until the middle of June, if at all! Man, you guys always seem to get the short end of the stick.
The question is: Why? Is it just to stretch the series along? That'd be a strange idea considering that the show doesn't look like it's that popular (if the people on these forums are any indication, that is).
This is just a wild guess, but maybe they aren't showing it because of the content in this particular episode. Actually, that might be the case. George Bush is the mission in Orphan Substitute after all...and we also have a general in Floral Patton... Maybe this episode was too political? *shrugs* Who knows?
Now, this is almost a different topic entirely but it's something I've been a bit curious about: What is Time Squad rated on Cartoon Network?

Do I remember anyone mentioning that this was going to be a rerun? *sigh*
Oh, well. Anyone wanna copy and paste the posts from the original "Out With The In Crowd/Child's Play" post?

Augh! The middle of June?! Cripes... we might be moving that month.

Wow, another episode that's being bumped up a few weeks because of political refs? *sighs* Maybe that's the case. Maybe someone at CN thinks that this episode will bring back memories of 9-11 or something?
Hey, did anyone ever find out why they aired "White House Weirdness" so late? Was it because of 9-11 sensitivity or because the TS crew had to get legal permission to use the music from Scooby Doo?
I think I'll stop there before this leads to a long debate about the war and people cutting the Twin Towers out of TV shows while selling Twin Towers memorabilia on the street and in the malls. (You know how these forums are. In one thread, one post is about Family Guy and twelve posts later, everyone's talking about blissing.)
Now, this is almost a different topic entirely but it's something I've been a bit curious about: What is Time Squad rated on Cartoon Network?
Y7, in the US, which is amazing considering what content the show has nowadays.

No, I don't think so. I think it might have more to do with the current world situation. In Orphan Substitute we see The War Room and what the cartoon version of Bush does to it and they kind of do a parody by doing the thing where they call a mission "Operation: <insert name here>" (please forgive me, I'm not very articulate today). There's something else, but I can't think of it right now.

What? Really? Over here it's rated PG and comes on just before all the adult cartoons. That's the main reason why I thought it was a new adult cartoon at first, actually. Hmm. This is interesting... :D

Would this happen to be Bush Senior or Dubya? If it's Senior, it must be Desert Storm. If it's Dubya, it's either Infinite Justice/Enduring Freedom. It can't be Iraqi Freedom, of course.
Come on, CN! They were rolling out war cartoons like crazy during WWII! Give us this one "war cartoon" for our generation so that we can tell our biological and surrogate grandkids about it!

PG over there? Whoa-hoa! I guess Canada recognizes an adult cartoon when it sees one! :D Lucky you, I'm living in this country where the basic assumption of cartoons are for kids still prevails. :(
EDIT: Logic just hit me. It can't possibly be Dubya. For one, I doubt the crew would make any references to 9-11. And for another reason, it takes about nine months to make an episode, and production stopped in mid-2002 (I believe). That's me for ya.

It's your current President: Dubya.

The computer in the show reads:
George W. Bush
2002
Washington D.C.
So the episode is set in 2002. As far as anything else goes, though, I have no idea.

:D Oh, I know that. I'm just saying that when I saw a glimpse of it for the first time I thought it was. The next time I watched it I found out that the show was on just before the adult cartoon line-up.

You've got to be kidding me! Time Squad is TV-PG in Canada! Well, I guess Canada knows an adult cartoon when it sees one, even if it's not. When Time Squad started, it was TV-Y7 and it aired at like 9-10 o'clock at night, which is why this show got away with what it did.
It's [Time Squad is] only an adult cartoon in the same way that The Ripping Friends is an adult cartoon...
Also Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, The Tick, Steven Spielburg's Toonsylvania (does anyone remember this show besides me), Ren and Stimpy, Tiny Toon Adventures (somewhat), and plenty others I have coming to me.
It isn't, but there's an awful lot that the censors would have caught had they not been brain dead...
...or drunk or high...
Anyway, that's what I've been saying about Time Squad the whole time. This is not the harmless little kids show I once thought it was.
The same can go for Cow and Chicken. I mean, this show [Cow and Chicken] was notorious for butt jokes, gender bending, and the infamous lesbian biker episode, but Time Squad will be remembered by its true fans for its adult overtones that would make Cow and Chicken look like Baby Looney Tunes.
Twelve years ago, Nickelodeon forced Spumco to have the microphone go into Stimpy's nose instead of his mouth because the latter looked too much like something else.
You mean a blow job (can we say that on these forums)? I remember that. I also remember that a scene on R&S where Powdered Toast Man burns the Bill of Rights to keep the fire in the White House going was only shown once and then cut.
These days, Cartoon Network let something that looked much worse involving a turkey and a turkey baster air.
Not to be mean, but what is your obsession with that part on "Ex Marks the Spot"? It's no worse than the other stuff Time Squad got away with. It makes me wonder why the C&C episode "Buffalo Gals" was banned for lesbianism, but Time Squad goes on, even in reruns.

Where'd you see that? I find it hard to believe that Cartoon Network would allow Wasson and crew to make fun of someone still alive or someone who died only recently, let alone the sitting President of the United States. Beyond a quick throwaway gag like the one about Mother Theresa in Ex Marks the Spot, that is. And it surprised me that even that was allowed.
Floral Patton/Orphan Substitute ran on Teletoon in Canada on (I believe) March 23rd. That's where I saw (and taped) it.
I didn't think that they'd poke fun at your President either, really. *sighs* This show has surprised me more times than any other... I have a feeling I'll be comparing Time Squad to other cartoons in the future. I can see it now: "Well, that show might have done that, but Time Squad got away with this!" I wonder how many people I'll annoy... :p
I just realized... For an episode that didn't air we sure have a lot of comments on it! *laughs*

*gasp!* I was partially right the first time?! Yes! I had a feeling it was Dubya, but usually my initial guesses are wrong (see "Oh, no, they crushed his nads!" and "Balki" posts).

This show was so daring. I can't believe it didn't have a bigger fanbase during its run. *sigh* But I'm starting my own quest to annoy the hell out of people with information on this show. (It's easy when you have HTML and PHP knowledge! :D)

Yeah, all... one, two... four of us!

What was "Buffalo Girls" about? And how did Courage get away with it with the cat and the bunny?
"Ex Marks the Spot" reaired recently & I didn't notice anything involving a turkey (except for the intro). Maybe I missed it or did Cartoon Network edit it?

The intro was the part that Adam was talking about. It aired twice (once on Friday and again during the Cartoon Cartoon Top Five). CN didn't edit it (thank God) and like Adam said, how they got away with that is a mystery (one which I hope is never solved).
What was "Buffalo Girls" about?
Buffalo Gals was about a group of lesbian bikers who recruit Cow after breaking into the house and eating their carpet. Chicken doesn't trust the Buffalo Gals and goes to rescue Cow, only to get pummeled by the Girls.
And how did Courage get away with it with the cat and the bunny?
I don't watch Courage, so I wouldn't know.

Yes, that scene. I'm not going to get too graphic about it, but the way Larry shoves a funnel (not a turkey baster - I was half-awake the first time I saw it) into the turkey makes it look like something else.
And what happens right after that.
I'm still thinking about that... sticky, icky gravy... *shudders*
Oh, I get it now. BTW, what was the joke about Mother Theresa?

Already I watched the episode Floral Patton/Orphan Subsitute in the Latin-America premiere. I don't sure of how many can I talk about it. Answer me about that.
You can talk about it but your would have to use Spoiler Tags.

Yup! It just keeps going and going and going. But hey, we all enjoy it, right?

Umm...I'm not sure what it is you're asking here. Are you asking about how many of us watched this particular episode? If so, I think only you and I have seen it.
If you're asking if you can comment on and talk about the episode, I'm not sure. Again, it seems only you and I have watched it, so it would give away too much for everyone else. Unless they didn't care that they were getting spoiled...
There's the spoiler thing but...I don't know. I suppose you'd have to ask someone who has been here longer.
When this talkback started I was thinking about writing up an episode "summary", then I found out that it never aired in the United States. I even finished the one for "Floral Patton". Darn.

Hold on. I've read your first post about what you thought about the Cartoon Cartoons and you said you didn't like Time Squad. Did you finally warm up to it or what?

As for Toona's question, you're more than welcome to post your thoughts about the episode. Some of us will pass the spoilers or take our chances in ruining any surprises.

No, but I watch the new friday episodes independent of the show. and it was the last episode!
Okay, here my comment
Floral Patton
The typical Time Squad plot, with ridiculed historical personages and predictable. But particulary, improvised.
Orphan Subsitute
A long time ago I didn't surprise of that way. George W. Bush in scene, very silly and infantile; a Dexter cameo and a frenetic storyline. Very special, but a little bit cruel.

But that still doesn't explain why you watch the show [Time Squad] if you don't like it. If I don't like a show, I just ignore it and change the channel to something good (or watch a video).

Time Squad, a TVPG show? It's such a kids show! I would expect it to be rated Y.
Anyway, how long are they going to make this one season last!?!?

Time Squad, a TVPG show?
Believe it.
It's such a kids show! I would expect it to be rated Y.
*scoffs* Yeah, right. And I expect to live in a world without war or disease or poverty where everyone can get along without problems...but you don't see that happening.
You have eyes, but cannot see, my man, and ears but cannot hear. Some people...
And another thing: in America, this show is TV-Y7 for comic violence and crude humor (scratch that, very crude humor), although one rerun episode carried a TV-PG rating for Language and Sexual References (It would have been better if it were TV-PG for Suggestive Dialogue and Sex References. Now that's Must-See TV!)
Anyway, how long are they going to make this one season last!?!?
Apparently until late-June...or if they can get the other shows out of the way.
Sorry if I come off as arrogant or stuck up, but I don't like it when people write things in life off based on appearance. Whatever happened to that thrill of finding what makes the things in life tick...and explode.
