They edit the first half of Spykecam out, I hope the next time it airs they fix it. I hope they don't edit the rest of them. Also Jade Monkey came after The Rock.

I noticed the edit too. How much did they cut out though? Was it only the 20 seconds that was just blackness, or was there even more not shown?

Also Jade Monkey came after The Rock

Technically in show order, yes, but most CN shows are in production order (except for their own, which seems pretty odd). The production order was Doggy and Piggie coming before Jade Monkey, but that episode was moved up when aired on Kids WB. I noticed a goof in Today's episode though. At the end of the episodes, Shendu is talking about a rumored Tailsman being in the North Pole (The Horse Tailsman), but in Production code and in show order, then the next Tailsman is the Rat Tailsman (located in some building). Well, at least it makes more sense then some closing jokes in other shows.

X-Men: Evolution "Spykecam"

They cut the teaser that explained how Evan got the camera. Arrgh. Hope that was just another programing error or something. It's too bad; I really liked the scene with Evan staring at the camera in awe and reaching for it. On a whole, I like this episode, even though it's little more than filler. Evan isn't as obnoxious in this one as he was in "Speed and Spyke" and he actually does something useful (though he did some stupid things as well--skateboarding into the middle of an intense battle?). I enjoyed the bits about Rogue and Kitty's initial dislike. It was a nice way to show that Rogue didn't automatically fit in with the X-Men. Not a lot to say about this episode. It was good, but not great.

Shell Game came before Project A for Astral. If you look at Shendu's body there are no talismans in him, the sheep was the first one the Dark Hand got. Shell Game was also the first time, Shendu said he would rewerd the Dark Hand.

what was that long pause?
what's this I hear about a scene getting axed?

Sabretooth saved this ep. A pretty good ep, especially w/ Sabretooth.
Loved the showdown on the lawn: Storm, Scott, & Jean punked Creed pretty badly.

But the best thing is about this ep is watching Rogue move. :yakko: :wakko:

The opening scene of Spykecam, where Evan is assigned the digi-cam project and is spyed on by Sabertooth, was cut from the beginning. Normally the teasers air after the intro on CN, but this time it was missing for some reason.

Spykecam was fair. A little weak in places but fair.

Well, the "Survival of the Fittest" opening was cut too. Ugh. Could this be a time cut, perhaps?

Oh damn, they did it again. In Survival Of The Fittest they didn't show the beginning where Mystique knocks out the guards and drains the fluid from Juggernaut's tank. And that was even more important then the one for "Spykecam". I just hope they don't keep doing this the entire series through, that would be really stupid, espically since a lot of the openings show important information that affects the entire episode.

X-Men Evolution "Survival of The Fittest"

Loved the start of Lance and Scott's rivalry, and the interaction between the Brotherhood and the X-Men. Juggernaut's a so-so villian; he just smashes and destroys without any real motive, and I wish there had been just a little more explanation as to why Juggy wants his brother dead. My favorite points of the episode included the "Death by blubber-bomb!" line, Lance and Pietro being dragged up the cliff, "Sumner", and the end with the two teams working together. I especially liked Scott's musings at the end about how right it felt fighting beside the Brotherhood and not against them. I definitely prefer the B'Hood with shades of gray, rather than being full-on villians.

What's with all the editting? They can't be time edits because there is plenty of time to spare after the show. I just hope that they were programming errors. :(

I loved 'Shadowed Past'. They told the Mystique/Nightcrawler past very well without giving out too much. It hints at Rogue's and Nightcrawler's relationship without really saying it. A very good episode with a lot of emotion. This has to be my favorite episode so far. 5/5 stars.

why are they cutting out the prologues?
they set the table, set the mood.
it takes away from the viewer's enjoyment

X-Men: Evolution "Shadowed Past"

A good, angsty episode. I liked how it developed Mystique and showed her more vulnerable side, and Kurt's pain over finding out the truth was very well done. I hope to see more on exactly why Magneto experimented on the poor kid. The hints of the Kurt/Rogue and Magneto/Pietro relationships also added to the episode.

X-Men: Evolution "Grim Reminder"

I thought the beginning was a good look at life in the mansion, and Kitty writing to her parents was a nice touch. The Wolverine story itself didn't do much for me, but I liked how Shadowcat and Nightcrawler tried to help him and eventually reached him. The lines "There's a crazy person flying the plane! You call that safe?!" and "Okay, picture this: bumpety bumpety bumpety SPLAT!" made me chuckle.

Supposedly the removal of the opening segments was Kids WB's decision.

Why? Are they going to keep doing it?

Perhaps it's a ploy to have CN give them more money so they can have access to the opening teasers, but CN's not falling for their trick and not buying the opening. Or something like that. But leave it to Kids WB to show once again how stupid their business decisions can be. Anyway, onto quick reviews.

but it's only the last few eps that have been cropped (mon-thurs):

Spyecam: we miss Evan's assignment
Survival of the Fittest: we miss how Mystique bubsts into Stokes
Shadowed Past: we miss Rogue's nightmare
Grim Reminder: well, this was my first time watching this ep...but I can only imagine that the beginning featured the scientist & Creed discussing Logan.

the first few ran w/ the prologues:
Strategy X, The X-Impulse, Rogue Recruit, Speed & Spyke, Middleverse, Turn of the Rogue

The Cauldron is next. Come correct CN. This is highly uncharacteristic of them.

They still have'nt shown the episode with the Blob.

Due to a scheduling order, that episode (Offical Name: "Mutant Crush") will be shown Saturday, April 26, 9:00 p.m offical eastern standard time. I know that's one error that Kids WB did not cause (They were the ones who apparently pulled the openings from X-Men Evolution's Run on CN).
