What happened? My cable went out, so I couldn't watch Trigun. What happened on Mon, Tues, Wed night, because I could watch it on Thurs and I was confused?

What more have we learned about Vash? Does Meryl believe Vash is the actual Vash the Stampede. No spoliers, please, just a little info on this week.

And one more thing, can someone tell me what episode it will be until this "comparison to Bebop" has a plot?

Seiken "desperate" Izumi lol

Yes, the insurance ladies know he's Vash. They figured it out on Monday's episode. I really wouldn't be able to give you a better synopsis. I'll leave that up to someone who knows the show better.

episode 5 "Hard Puncher"

The entire population of Inepril is after Vash. They need the reward money to repair their power plant and save the city. The mayor even hires two notorious criminals known as the Nebraska family. They are a mad scientist and his gigantic freak son.
The Nebraska family ends up threatening the townspeople. Vash gets to show off his marksmanship for the first time in the series. He saves everyone and defeats the Nebraskas. Meryl finally accepts that he is the real Vash the Stampede.

episode 6 "Lost July" (This will be a long synopsis. It's one of my favorite episodes.)

Fortunately, the Nebraska family had a $$700,000 bounty on them. Vash gives the reward money to the people of Inepril. (Isn't he nice?) They now have enough to call in a plant engineer to fix the plant. The engineer is a beautiful woman named Elizabeth. She meets with Vash and asks him to be her bodyguard.
After stopping a couple of assassination attempts , Vash gets locked in the plant core room by Elizabeth. It turns out the assassin was really after Vash and she hired him. Since the assassin failed, she'll have to kill Vash herself. She's going to overload the plant and blow it up with him inside.
She wants revenge for the destruction of July, her childhood home. "The city was so badly destroyed and yet no one was killed. But do you know what happened after? 1,400,000 people became homeless and destitute. They abused eachother, stole from eachother, and despised one another. Because of you I was thrown into Hell, but I still had to go on living."
Vash steps into the plant core and mysteriously, is able to stop it from overloading. (How he can do this will be explained later in the series.) The plant returns to normal and the townspeople thank him for saving them once again.
Vash goes to talk to Elizabeth. She holds a gun to his chest. Vash tells her he's sorry, but he doesn't remember how July was destroyed or even if he was really responsible for it or not. He just remembers seeing the ruins. Elizabeth remembers how on that day a man came up to her and comforted her. She realizes it was Vash and he looked exactly as he does now, even though it happened over 20 years ago. She lowers her gun and cries.

episode 7 "B.D.N."

Vash leaves the city in a sandsteamer. He meets a stowaway kid named Kaite. Kaite makes up a sob story and Vash takes pity on him. He decides to take care of him while they're on the ship.
Kaite drugs him. He's working for the Bad Lad gang, led by Brilliant Dynamites Neon. With Kaites help, they board the sandsteamer and rob the passengers. Meanwhile, Vash dreams about a woman he calls Rem.
Neon wants the money in the big safe, but no one on board knows the combination. He figures the best way to open it would be to crash the steamer and crack the safe in half. Kaite refuses to help so Neon is about to kill him. Vash saves him and that's the end of part 1. You've seen part 2.

The real plot begins in episode 12 "Diablo".
