View Full Version : Will Family Guy's 1st season ever air on AS?

Well, it is being left out for its first run for the DVD (which I'm worried because critics have been saying it is almost unbearble because of the video quality), even though AS is running 2nd season episodes that are on the DVD anyways. But, when FG enters its second run on AS, will the first thing being seen be the 1ACX episodes? Or is it that FOX will never let CN run the first season episodes, ever again? Now, I know that the DVD is coming out where you can watch them anytime, but remember that it is going to be (supposedly, according to FOX) sold at $50 (way too pricey for a DVD set) and already critics who were given advanced copies said that there is a very bad video transfer, so it may not be worth getting. So, are we ever going to see those 1ACX episodes?

We will eventually see it. If FOX is not willing to give them up I really think that CN will negotiate for them and finally give them up. CN will want to negotiate after they see the success of Family Guy.

yes. CN has them in stock. it was their choice to begin at season 2.

I'm betting that at the end of the 3AX season (The last season of Family Guy) they'll either rerun 2AX and 3AX once and then show the 1AX Season, or just show the 1AX season immediatley. This is just to promote the DVD's (Which should be getting an advertisment on AS soon), so giving it a few months time to let sales grow seems logical. At the very latest, the entire run of Family Guy (Except 2AX...05 "When You Wish Upon A Wienerstien" which was never given to Cartoon Network by FOX to begin with) will have aired and they'll be going into the second or third amount of reruns of the show's run.

Considering the advertisements are comprised of first-season clips, I don't see why not.

How in the world is $50 for 4-disc, 28-episode box set "way too pricey". You're only paying $12.50 per disc and less than $2 per episode...and that's BEFORE whatever discount the store or website makes. Places like Target and Best Buy will have this set for about $35!!

What DVD's are you buying that are cheaper than this set? ...because there just aren't many out there.

why would you want to start a show off with its 2nd season. makes little sense to me.

Family Guy DVD Volume 1 (made up of season 1 and half of season 2) hits stores on the 15th, FG hits CN 5 days later. Thats the only reasoning I see for it.

LoL! Do you ever buy anime on DVD? Try $30 for 3 episodes. Thats pricy. The animated FOX shows hitting DVD, from the Simpsons to Futurama and now Family guy are ridiculously cheap. Too pricy for a DVD set, what a joke -_-

According to the reviews I've read, it's the entire second season.

My mistake. What confused me was how small the first season was (7 episodes). I was so close to importing the Euro sets before Fox announced the US ones. I cant wait, hopefully Best Buy will have it on sale next week.

that's from Peter Peter Caviar Eater. and Lois' maiden name is Pewterschmidt (the spelling may not be correct but that's definitely how it's pronounced)

$50 for a season set may seem a tad pricey compared to some other deals out there, but you've got to remember that anybody who actually pays list price for a DVD deserves the ripoff they're getting. I see a lot of single-disc domestic releases lately at a list price of $30. Now come on, how many people have actually PAID thirty dollars for a single-disc release of an American movie? For that matter, how many people have even seen a store stupid enough to charge that much?

*the sound of crickets chirping fills the room*

You get my point.

Remember that the Vol. 1 DVD is out this Tuesday. Click here (http://pages.m80im.com/?QzoxMzM6MjI1NDI5) for a FG DVD buddy icon so you can spread the word.

Matt.... your pills, did you forget to take them again? One labeled, "Chill?"

What I read was a good theory, just checking with those who seem to have connections if that's the official answer.
