What are your thoughts on family guy's coming to CN adult swim?
Mine, personally, is surprise.. just about the only one i really liked was the one where there is armageddon and it's a nightmare episode... but i guess it's about time it was shown on something other than fox.. is this series currently cancelled , and was it wierd that two of the main characters from family guy ( the dad and the dog) also may have starred in one of the cartoon cartoon shorts?

Family Guy is one of the funniest shows that I have ever seen, as for the cartoon cartoon thing, lay off the crack.

I have also seen the Family Guy father and dog on a Cartoon Cartoon episode. It was a couple years ago and they seemed somewhat out of character, but it was unmistakably them.

The designs in Family Guy always reminded me of Just Wait Till Your Father Gets Home, a late 70s cartoon that CN used to show very late at night, I wish they still showed it. Anyone know if its on Boomerrang?

Actually, it wasn't exactly them. It was "Larry and Steve" a cartoon produced and written by Seth McFarlene (The Creator of Family Guy) but it was only a short. Seth probably used that as a start to create FG later. Anyway, the long Family Guy ad is actually very good. I wonder how the episode promos for the show will be though.

I really want to see "Larry and Steve". It sounded like it would be pretty funny. Just Wait Till Your Father Gets Home is another show I missed out on that I would have liked to see. Seeing the Family Guy commercial last night on AS made me realize how much I miss that show. I can't wait for it to be on air, and I can't wait to see the Family Guy Bumpers (First Aid Segments.) Those should be really funny!

They used to play it on the *coughGodawfulcough* "What a Cartoon" show. Larry and Steve had the exact same voices as Peter and Brian, and it had similar humor, only not as racy.

Wow, I had no knowledge of Larry and Steve being the beginings of Family Guy. Weird

I'm happy Family Guy is comming... if anything it might finally reach the right audience and not fade into oblivion for the upteanthmillion time...

I'm not too surprised since the humor fits right in with the likes of Futurama and Mission Hill (and even elements of ATHF and Sealab). Besides, many of us mentioned it often on the AS boards.
When it arrives, Hm is #2 and Family Guy is #1.

My thoughts on FG coming to AS? Well, mere thoughts won't suffice. I'm head-over-heels excited about this. Finally CN has a steel pair to match its brain.

Family Guy should never die. It being frelling brilliant is reason enough.
One big plus about it coming to Adult Swim is that we don't have anymore "Family Guy should be on ASC" threads popping up every other week. ;)

I'm all for Family Guy on AS. I'm coming to the opinion that there have only been 100 shows in the history of television that were "watchable". I think 25 of those were actually "good".
Family Guy is one of those good shows. Some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen.

Amen to that.
