I think someone SOMEWHERE has to have figured it out, but does anyone have a translation of the alien alphabet on Futurama? I've started to watch closely and write down what I can, but i've only got two letters....and I lost the sheet in today's spring cleaning :\...

There's a handy decoder thingee at http://www.gotfuturama.com/Interactive/AlienCodec/
I'd like to see a site that decodes each message in each episode for ya, but I haven't found any. It must be too much work.

Where did the website find this translation? Hopefully no one tried decoding it from the show(j/k).

im not sure about the second language, but if you look through the comics section of the link that mjsmith posted there is some sort of alien quiz with the translation of the first language on it.

well I'll be... I always assumed the language was just random scribbles that ment nothing... then again there are writers for both the Simpsons and Futurama whose whole job is to write sign gags, I guess it makes sense that they made up this huge alien gag...

Actually, several people did decode it that way. They did it more quickly than Groening expected, so he decided that there should be a second alien alphabet. That's why there's two.

If I ever get my own cartoon (not happening), I'm going to have a secret language (not happening) that people have to decode (not happening) to find out inside jokes (not happening). I mean (not happening), it's not gonna happen, but a guy can dream (not happening), can't he?
