The first one you linked to would have been amusing if it was on a website as a joke. You know one of those fake advertisements. But to have him actually sell this junk and have 33 bidders too!?! The second one was sad. It doesn't even deserve any commentary.

Ebay has gotten to be so pathetic in these last few years! A while back I was surfing around on some other message board and someone had posted a stupid find on ebay. I'll use the spoiler tag for this since I think it might be PG-13 or higher and it is really gross. -- So be WARNED-- The person found someone selling his pubic hairs on ebay with actual bidders.

Sometimes I wonder about the rest of humanity... I haven't bought anything on ebay in a while. It's just not worth it when you find stuff like this and the person has positive feedback.

Oh now that's just sick who ever bid on them is just as sick. Some times people really make me wonder.

I remember some guy saleing himself and his family.

It does look like ebay is becoming a joke. I'm suprised nobody has up any realdolls for sale. Now that's would be pretty sick.

Whoever is selling the second item has absolutely no taste whatsoever.

The first one was somewhat funney, but the second one was just offenseve. The guy who was selling that should be drug into the street and jumped on by a thousand cuban children.

And somebody's actually BIDDING on the girlfriend one, too!

"Dear Nick, Keep on Truckin'"?!? Sigh...

I can't believe the first one is up to 33 bids! At this rate maybe I should glue some stuff I find in my backyard together and see how much that goes for

I think they're both really funny. The captions and pictures in the first one are hilarious. What's not to love about an overweight geek with womens underwear on his face? And the captions are pretty well-written.

As for the second one, I can see how that would offend people, and that's why the auction was closed. Think of me what you will, (and release the Cuban children, if you must) but I think it's great off-beat humor.

I don't think eBay is going downhill, either. It's reached a huge status of popularity, and attracts a ton of people. Naturally, people are going to test the limits to gain some Internet fame (mission accomplished, by the way). That doesn't mean that the site's legitamacy for buying a used blender or old Nintendo games has been lost.

I wish I could remember where I'd seen it, but someone had recreated an e-bay bidding site they'd seen that was actually trying to sell the University of Tennesee's Knoxville campus. ^^;;; The highest bid was only like, $16-17.

Yes, I must release the Cuban children. (Tells children to jump on the man with a fruit in front of his face) :p

I aggre that eBay is not going downhill. I'm glad that there is a place like eBay, beacause thats the only place that I can find games for the Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, and other "dead" systems cheaply.

Don't worry Shnay I'm Christain and I thought the second one was funny as well. It makes me wonder what brain dead idiot thought it up. The sad thing is people would have actualy bid on it if it had been left open. That's why I love people's stupidy ya never what ya gonna get.

The first one is an example of people throwing away money. On the second one, it says the seller ended the item early. It is amusing that people try to sell such stuff.

This guy's hilarious. While the pictures this time around are more likely to forever scar your mind than make you laugh, they're still...unique, to say the least.

And the writing is really good.

Hear the unfamiliar siren song of your incoming IM sound as Kandy gleefully sends misspelled and over-abbreviated text your way. She may not realy love you, but she's sure to say "i lUv u." Guaranteed to be halting, semi-literate and awkward, just like the real thing!

Thrill at the sight of your slickly simulated sweetheart's smiling countenance on your very own dust-caked computer screen as you share a private audience with Kandy on her webcam. Nothing makes you feel loved and appreciated more than a girl who's willing to sit still long enough to be captured by the low frame rate of a fuzzy twenty-dollar webcam. She may not be doing anything interesting, but she's doing it all for you.

That's some funny stuff. I hope he keeps doing these.

Oh my, those are both very very funny. Especially the second one. Very offbeat, which just made my day. After stressing out all last week, it's nice to see something funny.

However, these are both just in jest, how about these auctions not in jest. :D:D:D

Look at your own risk. I can not guarantee what people are really selling across the web. :D

Such as this, which you can display with your signed Bible.

Those are both very funny. Hopefully, the one with no bids will not sell, but it probably will, as some people would buy anything.

The first one was somewhat funny. The second one made me shake my head.

A year ago, somebody sold a jar of snow and somebody actually bought it.

It was a joke! I'm a christian and I found the entire thing to be very funny. I wouldn't expect people to be such sticks in the mud about stuff. Really.

Sorry if I sound rude/ignorant, but how are people finding these kinds of things? Is it just by sheer strange luck or is there some kind of wierd auction search engine somewhere out there?

Sorry if I sound rude/ignorant, but how are people finding these kinds of things? Is it just by sheer strange luck or is there some kind of wierd auction search engine somewhere out there?Well, the guy who did the Instant Girlfriend Kit that was posted in the intro to this thread seems to put up one or two new things each week. So every time this thread pops up again, I check out his other auctions.

New this week from our favorite auctioner, karmicvanity:

Lint of the Month Club! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=100&item=3216272601)

What does pule mean, anyway? It seems to be attached to a lot of the joke auctions, though many of the auctions with pule in the title seem to be legit. Just on the first page of my 'pule' search, I see:

I'll Fake Fart on Your Answering Machine Pule
Bloody Shirt From Film You Haven't Seen PULE
I will keep your secret, forever. (pule)
Key to that Apache helicopter - pule
^^ "If you encounter an Apache helicopter in a field, and you are thinking of using it against an invading army, or using it to get the hell out of Dodge, it is CRITICAL that you have the key to start the engine." :D

Too lazy to post the links. Find 'em yourself. :deedee:
