View Full Version : Are people to easily offended by stuff?

I just notice that whenever something gets popular, somebody, somewhere gets angry. Or if something even remotly reminds someone of something that's evil it automatically is (even if it was unitentional.) I'm just curious to here what you guys think?

The reason you see people get offended by popular stuff is because it's been thrusted into mainstream culture, thus, lots of people can get a chance to see it, and make thier assesments. Inevitably someone will dislike it.
And anything that reminds a person of something they dislike will be noted as having 'connections' to that thing the person dislikes, and thus he/she will have a damper attitude to it...

do not take offense where none was intended.
in a pluralistic society, we will encounter much with which we disagree - but do not flatter youself to think that the purpose of it was to offend you :rolleyes:
