View Full Version : Wouldn't Ghost in the Shell TV go to TechTV?

Since TechTV has the rights to the movie and good relations with Bandai. You think Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex would air on that network?

and didn't CTN have a hand in the TV series?

Don't get me started on Techtv's idea of ground-breaking anime . Lain was pretty good , but overall dull and cookie cutter like as was Crest Of The Stars . I saw the opening of GOTS and it was pretty good , but then everyone is bashing it .

What I wonder is if they'll pick up DBZ since Toonami seems to be inching towards killing it as soon as the last of the Buu Saga airs .

Lain was pretty good , but overall dull and cookie cutter like. I can understand "dull," if you didn't like the whole "figure out what this weird stuff means" feel or the dialogue-driven story, but man... COOKIE CUTTER?! :eek:

On the subject, I think it's extremely unlikely that it would go to TechTV, or anywhere other than AS, for that matter. But then, I've got no real info, so take my statements with a rather large grain of salt. :)

Whoa I can't believe what I said. If anything Lain did not borrow any tradtional anime style anythings except maybe for the animation . Its plot was sort of like Vanilla Sky by which you have to unravel most of the story and take jabs at the plot to find out all the answers . At Techtv's current stage I don't believe they're ready for any serious anime let alone GOTS . It reminds me of Toonami's infacy with just Jonny Quest and Reboot though Reboot was excellent . Once again I take back my unusual statement about Lain !
