ive never seen it but i want to i here they are bringing it to adult swim is this true? :D
Yep. It's coming to Adult Swim Action on March 31st.
Trigun is a space western. It starts out very comedic and lighthearted, but it gets more serious as the series progresses. It's about a guy named Vash the Stampede who is wanted for billions of dollars, but in truth he has never killed a person in his life. If you liked Cowboy Bebop, you should like Trigun. Heck, you'll love Trigun either way. Watch it. NOW.

They all came out at around 1998, and AS has shown (will show) them all.

I can't wait to see Trigun in english!!
Vash RULEZ!!!!
I really can't pick a favorite space western, I wish I could get all three on dvd. *mutters* Stupid capitalist market system.
Anyways, Its hard to tell about even the first episode without giving away spoilers, but Trigun is the story of a legendary outlaw with a price on his head of $$60 billion(sixty billion double dollars I think is how that is translated in english). The outlaw, also called Vash the Stampede, is known (and feared) by the populace as the "Human Typhoon". He is followed by two insurance agents who try to keep the damage he does down to a certain level, but damage is unavoidable.
The series starts out much like cowboy bebop. Fairly humorous and with a lot of mystery behind the character's past. But also like Bebop, as we go forward in the story, it gets more serious. The character's history is not a happy one. No I won't give a spoiler about the end, watch it, you'll love it.

For those who haven't seen the series already, Trigun is (as stated already) a Space Western anime about a man called Vash the Stampede, a man with $$60,000,000,000 on his head (the double $ is NOT a typo :)). Of course, hilarity ensues.
He is followed by two women, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson (sp is debatable), women from an insurance company trying to account for ALL the damages the "Humanoid Typhoon" has done. The 26 episode series starts off, actually the first 14 episodes if I remember correctly, as more of a comedy than anything. Watch and you'll see.
However the last episodes turn towards a rather dramatic pace, with the viewer learning about Vash, his past and his life. I will not reveal anything about the story, but it is definitely a love-hate anime for all viewers. Those looking for Lupin III comedy throughout, please look else-where. You want constant drama like some portions of Cowboy Bebop? Sorry, but a Bebop mix of comedy and drama is present, so I would definitely recommend watching Trigun for all you CB fans :D
Is Trigun worth watching the 26 episodes? Yes! Is this statement coming from a man who has watched the entire series (subtitled) without a regret and thus may have given a biased answer? YES! BUT, I implore you, tune in... ;)
Edit: Oh man... someone beat me to it 40 minutes ago... oi vey... sorry! ...Guess I should read more before I post... :o
Another Edit: Damn, I'm willing to just beat the crap out of my post with edits... and this being only my 2nd post of 4... oi. I forgot to mention, although he was mentioned already, the wandering, cigarette smoking priest, Wolfwood, a character who meets up with Vash during his, excuse the horrible cliche, mis-adventures. A man who carries around a 6 ft. tall metal cross (the religious, crucifiction one, not the... is there even another one? :p ) and although he does not follow Vash exactly, they do cross paths numerous times. Hilarity ensues, of course :D

Trigun is a great series and is a show that made me fall in love with animation all over again. It is probably the proudest part of my DVD collection. The first half of the series is lighthearted and Lupin-esque, the episodes are based upon introducing Vash, Meryl, Milly and Wolfwood, along with the world. The second half of the series shifts into a much more serious drama that deals with the conflict of the series and Vash's brother Knives and Vash's past. Vash The Stampede is by far the most memorable anime character ever, period. The english dub is also excellent and outdoes the original by far, Bosch pulls off Vash perfectally. This is a great show, and was destined for this block since its beginning.

What else can I say that already hasn't been said here? It's obviously one of my favorites. If you even remotely enjoyed Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star, you will definitely like Trigun. It starts off somewhat slow and comedic, but after episode 12, it will totally absorb your life.
And Johnny Yong Bosch is quite possibly my favorite VA of all time. He is an excellent Vash, hilarious during the comedic moments, and totally convincing when Vash is serious.

And here I thought it was Waggytoon playing with the colors again....
EDIT: Oh and welcome, TheArtist2MT, to Adult Swim Forums, the place where people talk about Adult Swim and future television home of Trigun.

Trigun is one of the most thrilling and best Animè series ever made...and I havn't watched it yet! Seriously, it has a great premise and from all I have heard it is one fantastic series. The days cannot be counted till it makes it's Adult Swim debut. *Glances at avatar in love* :D
