The news comes from the "Cartoon Research" site. They will replacing Cowboy Beebop with Clampett and Toonheads (more reruns of it, I suppose, at least until the new season is finished).

Does this mean Toon Heads will use uncut prints?

Well, Bob Clampett, with its uncut cartoons, has always been a candidate for Adult Swim, if CN had chosen to put classic cartoons in the block. I suspect Cowboy Bebop's being pulled from the schedule had little to do with ratings (considering Adult Swim has been airing all of two weeks) and more with the violence in the show, after what happened Tuesday. I've never seen it, but friends of mine have told me it was a pretty violent series. After a few weeks or months, the show might return to the block.

As for Brandon's question, I doubt they'll alter the ToonHeads that have already been made. So what was cut before will probably be cut again. But if this location in Adult Swim is permanent, then maybe the new episodes will feature uncut cartoons.

There's a great chance of Toonheads being uncut..

Remember that "GAK" is making new episodes and that some episodes of Toonheads were altered in GOOD ways...like the B&W I Like Mountain Music replacing the redrawn version on the Bookstore episode.

I just got my satellite box fixed, so I have a reason for timers now!

Speaking of Tooheads...

How come CN is not showing the season 1 episodes. This past year I've only seen the season 2 episodes. What's up with that?

Actually, what'd be really neat is if CN showed the old episodes of ToonHeads, back when the show aired nightly, and not just once a week (although I believe it was the same episode all week). ToonHeads wasn't just WB and MGM cartoons back then. There was plenty of Yogi, and Huckleberry Hound, and Snagglepuss, and the rest of the late-50s/early-60s H-B cartoons. It'd be neat to see thos episodes again since now, of course, the only way to see those cartoons is on Boomerang.

I just read Jerry's site about this, two things came to mind...

This could possibly be just a temporary schedule change, until CN feels it is okay to air Cowboy Beebop again.

The Toonheads and Bob Clampett repeats may not "officially" be part of Adult Swim. They may just end Adult Swim an hour early and then go into Toonheads and Bob Clampett at midnight.

Yeah there were some great ones WAY BACK. There was a tribute to Daws Butler and Jay Ward (which had a GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE cartoon).

I have a feeling that Cowboy Bebop will be back once there's been some more time to forget the incidents from Tues. Maybe Toonheads and the new Popeye show will be there once Cowboy Bebop finishes its entire run. Anyways, everyone enjoy the new times while they last, however long that is.

Oddly enough, though Cowboy Bebop(which I don't watch) is aparently pulled, probably temporarily, due to the violence vs. Tuesday's tragedy, the Toonheads that took up the slack tonight had a cartoon where a tall building in NY (Umpire State in the cartoon, "Rhapsody in Rivets") was built but collapsed (due to the famous cartoon cliche: A new building must fall if a door is closed).

The old Toonheads had different cartoons on it each night, but the same theme all week. I like it that way best, but I prefer the voice in the new ones(well, newER :D )

Speaking of Adult Swim -

Is it just me, or was the Brak Show episode played last night the same one they played last Sunday??? I swear they were. The concept with Zorak losing his brain was in the same episode last Sunday.

If so, why did they repeat it only a week later?

Both Brak Shows were from the last 2 weeks. I don't know why they are repeating. It can't be from a lack of eps. because the one that they showed in Dec. hasn't been on Adult Swim yet. Maybe it was just a programming mistake.

How long ago was this?! "Zim" was only on TV since this past April. And why ban those two shows now, anyhow?
