Well the newscasters have been teasing the weather people in Cali because rain came rushing down unexpectedly a day early. "wet" definitely fits the look right now. So what do you do on rainy days? When those drops start falling do you get in the mood to hibernate the day away? Do you grin and bare it, bundle up and head out for the day? Are you used to rain where you reside or is it an occasional or seldom occurance for you?

I like the rain, it's great for getting rid of people, and sometimes it's like you have the world to yourself.

Anywho, I don't go out too much as is, so rainy days don't really make me anymore reclusive than I usually am.

If it's a light rain, I usually go for a walk in it. Everyone thinks I'm nuts, but I enjoy it.

I like rainy days, I usually go out and stand in it if I can't find a reason to stay out longer. Otherwise I either try to use it sleep for a long time or I just do something where I can watch it through the corner of my eye or just stare. I dunno what's mesmerizing about rain... :(

Curse mother nature. :harley:

I hate rainy days with a passion. The only exception is in cases of extremely high winds and massive thunderous and lightning explosions. Those are pretty cool to watch.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, so I'm rather accustomed to rain - except this winter. Damn, it's been sunny for 50% of the season so far. Not that I'm complaining. :)

Anyway, on a rainy day, I:

1) Stay on the internet longer than usual
2) Sleep when I'm bored
3) Draw! Draw! Draw!
4) Listen to the radio
5) Film
6) Watch more TV than usual
7) Go for a drive
8) Go for a walk - hey, it's refreshing!
9) Rush outside to gather the laundry on the clothesline
10) Pray for the rain, rain to go away and come back another day.

:)

When you live in rain capital of the world - eg the North of England or more specifically Preston, you have to grin and bare it. It's not always raining, but it feels like it is.

Actually today it was crisp and fresh when I went food shopping, the sun bright and the air was cool. By the evening it was foggy and dark like the backstreets of Victorian London. It's been rather cool.

Back to the question, yes, when it rains I like to be indoors. Warm drink, heating on - watching a film ideally. At the same time I will wander out lightly garbed, no hood or umbrella in the rain and just bare the dampness. I maybe slender with perfect hips, but I won't let rain deter me from my goal - whatever it maybe! *Manly grimace*

I like rainy days fine, and I usually do without an umbrella since I don't have one. Today was kinda rough. I got caught in heavy showers on campus and there are giant puddles everywhere so all the cars on the road including mine are throwing water up in the air. I also went to the grocery store to pick up fruits and there was practically a lake in front of the entrance. Had to do much splashing to get through that. Messy wet day, but I had fun. I just wish I had a better rain coat with me.

Rainy days are perfect for fixing yourself a bowl of warm soup or some hot cocoa, drinking either one as you look out the window, and then, when you're finished, going back to bed. :)

Too bad one can't always do that.

Getting out in the rain isn't too bad, though, provided it's not too cold outside. It's actually a pretty nice feeling. Some of my older relatives even told me that if you wash your hair in rainwater, it would be softer. ('Course, this was in the days before acid rain was a serious problem, it's probably not such a good idea now. =X )

Oh yeah, I like to watch storms too, especially at night. It's not bad for a free light show!

On rainy days - hell, on most days - my free time oustide of school work and taking my brother places is just listening to LPs while I do stuff on my computer. I have a 70's Jazz or hippie Blues record to fit everything I want to do: Cool Edit, Photoshop, program PHP, or go on the Internet. (Actually, except for "Live at the Fillmore East 1971" by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, "Drunken Lullabies" by Flogging Molly, and "One By One" by the Foo Fighters, all I have are old hippie Blues and 70's Jazz albums, but we'll ignore that for now.)

I love having a good rainy day every once awhile but right now all we are getting is snow...can't wait for it to warm up. Well on a rainy day I usually stay in and watch TV, play video games and so on but sometimes I just go out and walk in the rain. Everyone should take a walk in the rain once in awhile. If it's storming I usually go out on my open pourch and watch the storm no matter how bad it gets, I love it, it's a show to me and yes I can get a little scary but thats the best part...

Wow, it hasn't rained in awhile here, and now it's raining after you mentioned it when we've mostly gotten snow. Hey, if you hadn't mentioned rain we might've gotten snow again! :( I like snow...

I remember once when my mother and I went to the grocery store and decided to walk back home. Well, it started raining extremely hard on the way back, but it was really fun! I figure once you're wet, you're wet. Why fight it? :)

I could go for some rain right about now, if only so it would wash away some of this stupid snow! :p

I love rainy days. :) There's just something about 'em you know. Plus it's usually not that crowded at places when it's raining which I love. I can't stand crowds. The only thingt I don't like about rain is it puts me to sleep. Not much to do on a rainy day though. I usually just stay inside and watch TV and read. Oh, and come to Toonzone. ;)

When I was still living at home, I used to love to sit outside on our porch and watch thunderstorms with my mom. Those were some beautiful, awe inspiring shows. :)

Anyway, now that I live in the city in an apartment, there aren't too many quality places to watch the rain, so I just usually just go about my routine. Unless I get the chance to stay home, then I hibernate or watch tv or play video games, basically anything I want because it's my time.

It rained for the first time in nearly 8 months here in New Mexico...and I was in too much pain to move over to the window. I just sat here by the computer, tied down in pain. But I did pause and patiently listen to it pitter patter outside. *sigh* If only I could run out in it....but I need time to heal. fyi, I'm a liiiiiiiittle banged up. :D

I like rain in the winter and hate it from April to October. I do not enjoy time outside on rainy days, but still do essential activities. After the snow, I can hardly wait until Saturday's forecast... 50 degrees with rain.
