As the title says, what or when has been your 'finest hour'?
By this I mean have you had one of those moments when you've suddenly found absolutely everything going your way when before it seemed like a disaster and you've someone against the odds turned it around and been the hero of the hour?
Or on the flipside had an excruciatingly embarrassing moment when all eyes were turned to you and you just wanted to curl up n die or else brazen your way through it but now when its history you look back on it with pride and think 'yeah!' ?

Mine falls into the second category and took place years ago at a naval base which was holding an open day to members of the public. My boyfriend and I queued up for 3 hours to go inside a nuclear sub and looking back I suppose I was pretty hyper whilst in there and enjoyed poking round at this and that. The problem came when it was time to get back out - bear in mind it was very busy so you had to keep the line moving - the way out was up an upward angled hatch/tube of some kind and all these older people were getting up there but when it was my turn I couldn't do it, I got one leg up but my jeans were too tight to let me pull up the other one so I was sort of stuck halfway unable to move and then got the giggles because I was embarrassed so I was more or less useless. I think I must have mentally blocked some of it out because I was stuck flailing there a while and in the end had to be hauled out by the wrists by two sailors while 3 more pushed from behind while the people in the line laughed. Meantime my BF had gone ashore thinking I'd plotted the whole thing as some sad attention seeking ploy.
Its weird, I was laughing at the time but maybe that was nerves because I really just wanted to die and yet now I look back and think on it as one of my 'finest hours' and hey, it even makes me feel proud too ... :D
