This has been discussed in other threads, but I thought it needed it's own. Week One of Adult Swim weekdays has just finished. What do you think?
P.S. I decided to do a "multiple choice" poll. Just vote for statements you agree with.
P.S.S. You better not vote for option 6. ;)

I think i'm going to go with ASA ads. The ASA ad only runs DURING Adult Swim. Maybe it'll be shown during Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. But I'd prefer seeing it during Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls, etc.
I'm glad for the multiple choice poll; I had more than one opinion. I like ASA starting at 11. I tape it, 'cause I'm not sacrificing sleep on workdays, but I digress.
Lupin III of course is cool, I like Inyuasha & Cowboy Bebop being on there. I'm not the biggest fan of Futurama, but I watch it occasionally.
All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the ASA line up. And yes, I love the bumpers.

While I thin the block as it is is fine, the only things that could be done to improve it right now would be bringing back Space Ghost (maybe once Havery gets more episodes, they can put in four random WS shows each week or alternate Mission Hill and Oblongs or something) and change the damn new theme song. I've given it a chance over the week, the action theme isn't too bad and fits, but the comedy block is jsut VERY bland and generic sounding, kinda like the music in dollar store shareware games. I mena, Blue Tube did better stuff Boomerang/Boomeraction, so why give AS some song that feels like they were just bored or rushed doing?
(And yes I realize that the old theme was generic music, but at least that had more life than the one we have now.)

That poll has too many options, anyways, there was not much wrong with the new schedule. In fact, the only problem is the people complaining about the time.

I would have liked to have seen the new IY opening and the original Lupin opening. But I can wait for the dvd's. Other than that I like being able to get more of my fav ASA shows.

I like the new setup and schedule. The only problem I have (and it is a very minor problem) is I liked the 9pm CST starting time because it was a great flow from whatever prime time junk my roommate watches to Adult Swim. Personally I have no problem staying up because I don't have class until (at earliest) 11am. Ah the joys of picking your own schedule...
I voted "I liked it, but ASA needs more advertising, different bumpers, and full openings! And while we're at it, bring back Space Ghost." At first I thought this would really stink, because I loved the Saturday block, but I'm really starting to like it. 4 new episodes a week is much better than 1.

I really like the new schedule.
I wish they would show the actual Inuyasha opening though.
Other than that, its great. :D

I went with the ASA opening option (after all, Futurama and Home Movies get their openings - fair is fair!)
I also have to say that I love the bumpers for the ASC shows, but the ones for the ASA shows just don't fit: the music is fine, but the pictures are more comedy than action, and they don't feature the characters from the shows (I'm assuming that's for legal reasons), so they just end up looking random (and not in a good way ;) ).
I'm okay with the times (I tape); it's nice to have Futurama on at a time I can remember to tape (I really liked it, but lost track of it when it was first shown on Fox because it never seemed to stay in one place on the schedule); and I'm enjoying my introduction to Lupin III. So I guess overall I'm content. :)

i don't hate it but i don't like it either.
Futurama i like...but i have seen the whole first season...once they are new i may decide to make an effort to watch Futurama. Home Movies is good for a laugh but i have never been able to sit through one whole episode. Lupin the Third i like, but i am not too thrilled about it...its not like i would cry if i missed an episode. Inuyasha is the only thing i actually really want to watch on the block and it is going off in less than a month -.-. Yu Yu Hakusho...i have seen it before and have seen it recently enough watching it again doesn't appeal to me. And i have seen Cowboy Bebop 10 times already...literally.
the Block itself is good...don't get me wrong and shows great promise. Cowboy Bebop doesn't need to be on there anymore, and they need new Yu Yu hakusho. Inuyasha better return soon, and the Comedy block needs to be changed...thats how i think anyways.

I like the new Adult Swim. I don't watch Futurama or Home Movies. The bumpers are cool, Lupin III is cool and Inu Yasha rocks. The time really doesn't bother me because I know how to operate my VCR. I think once more new shows get here, it'll be even better.
The advertsing has gotten better. The radio station I listen to airs Adult Swim commercials. Plus, the morning talk people love ATHF :D.

I forgot how wonderful Futurama really was. It's amazing. That and Home Movies nearly every night makes it one great night.
Lupin III rocks, too.

The new schedule is great. Now you don't have to wait an entire week (or longer) to see new episodes of shows. Plus, you get a new show, Home Movies every day, and a half hour of Sealab 2021. The new look is fresh and goes with the material in the lineup. No complaints.
BIG thumbs up for the new schedule.

If I could change one thing, it would be finding a replacement for Cowboy Bebop. It's just so played out now.

I like 'em, they remind me of the Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com) characters. They probably figured that they'll be changing the schedule around for the action portion of the block so much that it'd be pointless to make show-specific bumpers. While shows like Futurama and Aqua Teens, on the other hand, are gonna be around for a looooong time.

I like the new block, I really do. I hate to be one of the "time complainers", but I do have a slightly legitimate complaint.
Being in Arizona, we ignore Daylight Savings, so for us, AS doesn't start until Midnight. It was ok, this week, but school starts next week (College. I am an adult, after all. :) ).
I know, if it gets to be a problem, I can just tape it, but it is frustrating that it's on so late... Well, that's not really AS's problem, so much as AZ's. :)

I LOVE IT!
Futurama is surely a great show to leadoff! That the one I watch the most!!! :)

And why doesn't Yu Yu and Bebop have their ads? Ripping Friends and Mission Hill even get ads. So it's not that they're late. I don't see why just because they aired enough they don't deserve ads..
I thoroughly enjoy having Adult Swim on five nights a week. I used to like Futurama on Fox, but because of all the pre-emptions, I pretty much gave up on it (too much labor in trying to keep up with its schedule). I'm so happy to have it on the weeknights - and with no pre-emptions. I no longer have to wait an entire week for episodes of Inuyasha. I know that it will temporarily leave the schedule soon and I'll look forward to its return.
This week I caught every show except Cowboy Bebop. I'll probably end up going to bed after Inuyasha this week. I really didn't know what to make of Lupin III since I had never seen it before. The ads from last Saturday night got me totally intrigued about it though. I must say that I really liked it! I knew the animation was going to be "outdated", but the story and fun of the show made up for that.
I think Cartoon Network has done a good job with Adult Swim, and I understand their thinking with the timing of the schedule. Now just give me new Harvey Birdmans on Sundays (which I know are coming in the spring) and I'll be doing backflips singing Brak songs. :harley:

I think AS could stand to replace Home Movies and Cowboy Bebop in the Monday to Thursday slots, but everything else seems really great. The only major complain I have, is that its on too late! If it were moved back an hour to 10:00pm, then that might help a little.

I love it, I'm still getting used to the bumpers though, but I believe Cowboy Bebop's time is up, we need a change.
