Hopefully, this will be useful to at least a couple of people here, either in Western Massachusetts or nearby.
I found this ad in the Valley Advocate today, but here's a link (http://www.academyofmusictheatre.com/schedule.html) to a website for it. Just scroll down for the anime listings. I put the ones related to AS in bold, though all of them should be good.
Sat., January 25, 2003
This is at the Academy of Music, 274 Main St., Northampton
10 AM: Castle of Cagliostro (featuring Lupin) For some reason, this is in the print ad but not the website. You might want to contact them and ask about it if you plan on going, just to make sure.
1 PM: Princess Mononoke
4 PM: Cowboy Bebop It's not called Knockin' On Heaven's Door, but that's what it's gotta be, especially judging from the website.
6:30 PM: Metropolis
9 PM: Ghost In The Shell (Yeah, I know the show isn't confirmed for AS yet...)
Prices
$3- under 12
$6- per show
$15 for series
I dunno how they got to air KOHD before April, but it's there. I'm assuming these are the well-known dubs rather than subbed versions.
Awesome! I probably won't go, but it's neat that they're doing that.

*Will probably go for Knockin' on Heaven's Door, which it is. It describes the movie and one of the movie only charecters is in the poster.*

I just went to this thing today.
They just aired 4 episodes from the Perfect Sessions. The guy admitted before they aired it that it was not the movie. Oddly, even the program described the movie as what was planned. I guess some moron didn't check to see if they could get the movie before they did all of their printing and advertising or something. Or maybe there was miscommunication somewhere.
I was so pissed off at first that I almost asked for my money back, but I decided to watch it anyways to see what it was like in the theater. :/
They aired:
Asteroid Blues
Mushroom Samba
Wild Horses
Ballad of Fallen Angels
in that order. They announced before Wild Horses that they were going to air Fallen Angels even though they hadn't planned it because they had enough time. Sounds like they had things planned out real well in advance.
Oh yeah, they were subtitled, which was a little interesting cuz I hadn't seen them that way.

I'm sorry, but the image I'm getting is hilarious. A theatre full of people that are hopefully expecting Knockin' On Heaven's Door instead get episodes. I can see the helicopter news report now......... "123 injured, 7 killed, a group of raging Cowboy Jazz *of course the media cant get the name right* has started a mass riot putting half the state in siege and.... oh my god, they've broke into the hardware store, pull us up higher, HIGHER I SAID.........."
Altought that still is cool to see Cowboy Bebop on the silver screen, KOHD would've been a lot cooler.

No one else was pissed off as far as I could tell, but maybe it was out of surprise. I was just confused and hoped he was just joking at first, but when he didn't say "just kidding" after a while I figured he was serious.
If the place somehow mysteriously burns down tonight, all I can say is, you can't prove that I was involved. :p
There were a lot of kids there. I was relatively old at 23, but there were some people in their late 20s or older. Some people obviously hadn't seen it before. There was some kid behind me who was surprised that the singing was in English during Ballad of Fallen Angels.
